coat arrived and i modelled it for my husband who thought it looked very nice, esp for the reduced price......seemed surprisingly light wieght, sleeve holes are too snug if you wear a sleeved garment under it (like a sweater ), sleeves are about 4-5 inches too long and unfinished allowing one to turn up inside to your desired length and handstitch...and the buttons are misaligned as noted by others....the coat appears as one fabric, like cut from a faux fur throw for example, with faux fur and a faux suade material all bonded together as one layer of fabric, and having all unhemed edges everywhere with a noticable sewing machine stitch around each pattern piece to prevent stretching or unravelling, or to strengthen the bonded fabric. Despite all this, I decidedd to keep it and modify it and am hemming the sleeves to fit, removing those troublesome buttons, to wear while I sit in a drafty place while on the computer...This seems nicer than the throw I always have draped over my sholders and arms, and I will enjoy this `coat` as a throw with sleeves which is much more practical for computer work...and works for me! I like it now, and am glad I got it.

Light weight but toasty warm

By Frequent shopper

from Thunder Bay

Bought the burgundy in small and it fits perfectly. No issue with the buttons or dressmaker's marks. Love the deep rich color and the contrast in pattern -- smooth on the faux suede side and the swirl/rosette design on the faux fur side. The fabric may seem flimsy but it's by no mean a light weight in sub-zero temperature. I've worn the coat with Adrienne's burgundy snooka in -20C wind chill and didn't feel the cold at all like I would have in my wool winter coats. It's a great buy, especially at the sales price.

too bad

Gold Reviewer

I loved the burgundy coat when I got it but couldn't get a look I liked with the sleeves when the fur side is out. the other side looks unfinished. Then a button fell off - so it's going back.

I bought one in BURGUNDY in my regular size LARGE. The colour is beautiful, deep, rich, both sides luxury looking. Love the fit, very slimming and no issue with the BUTTON. This is a great transition coat and being more busted I rather have my top button opened for that ' slouchy ' around neck look. Highly recommend , especially at this price.

Great idea....poor application!

By Marlyne

from Keremeos, B.C.

I purchased the ivory in size small. Happy with the fit, but agree with other reviewer regarding gathering due to top button placement. After moving the button the collar looks much better. I also had the "pink" problem...not to the same extent..... it is very faint and you really have to know where to look, HOWEVER we're paying for a garment we have to "fix" and I feel that isn't fair. My coat had many threads I had to cut and all the buttons were ready to fall off and had to be sewn. I did give this a 4 star as I honestly like the lighter weight for transitional temps. and really like the fabric. Now if the manufacturer would just hire people who can assemble and sew properly this would be an absolutely lovely coat!!If a person lucks out and gets a coat without faults they should be very happy with the overall look.

Tres sheik

I just received my merlot coat yesterday and I love it! I do understand what people say about the top button not sitting quite right though. I find that I do not do it up and the coat is very rich looking and fits quite well. I understand that the light colours would be a nightmare , that is why I chose the merlot. The finish is beautiful and the sheen is exquisite. I love this coat, great travel coat for sure. Thanks Adrienne for another wonderful piece! Oh of course CSC gets a great thanks, as always.

I am keeping the coat BUT

By LucyLoo

I love this coat ,however I had to move the buttons over a few inches to make it fit properly....BIG difference then , and looks lovely .Now the bad news: whomever made this garment ,marked it with, " pink" showing where to place the buttons . This causes a problem now since the pink markings on the solid ivory side are visible and the only cleaning instruction is to dry clean .I don't know what they ( Dry cl) will charge to do that but I shouldn't have to clean a new purchase. I am a sewer fortunately, and can move the buttons myself, but not everyone can. The pink markings are more of a problem as not really sure what they are or whether they can be removed. Hopefully I will get those markings off (at a ??? cost)without ruining that side of the coat . These errors need to be passed on to the person/persons responsible for ensuring that their merchandise passes inspection before going to market. Otherwise the coat has a luxurious feel to it and is light weight which gives it more wearability, ie Spring + Fall & not just the winter months. Disappointed with those issues but I am keeping the coat.....I can see why others may not !!!!!

I received my coat yesterday and was very disappointed. This is not a winter coat. It is a thin bonded material that can be rolled up to the size of a football. No hems, just cut edges. It is going back. I gave it a two rating because the fit was OK on me.

Well... I love the coat!

I love the coat and so does my husband! I purchased the brown and leopard and love the rich, warm colours. The fit is perfect and the coat is definitely slimming! My only negative comment is that the top buttons are slightly misplaced causing some puckering when done up. I like to wear the coat not using those buttons giving the coat nice shawl collar. The coat is warm but light weight. It is perfect for shopping!
