Bought this unit, or one very similar to it, as a showstopper last fall. Haven't been all that happy with it since day one. Overheats regularly, and now it is simply shutting down for no reason. Nothing warm anywhere on the surface of the machine. Called Acer technical, and after docey-doeing around for a while, was told I would have to send it off for warranty repairs. I am in Calgary, the unit has to go to Vancouver. If I had known that, I would never have purchased it. Didn't expect to have to ask the question...living in a city of 1,000,000 people you just assume there is an outlet here that can handle any repairs. I make my living with my computer, now what??? I will never purchase an electronic item from TSC again...
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
