American Comfort Air Conditioner

Bought BEFORE the heat hits [ for a reason ]...and that would be AVAILABITY and CHOICE ! Exactly as advertised by the TSC team ! Works perfectly...NO loud noice OR vibration when the compressor kicks in. Good value with this product from American Comfort !!

The Summer has gone, and I would like to add my latest impressions of using this AAC during this summer's peak of heat and humidity in Montreal.
Amazingly this AAC has been able to cool down the air in the bedroom the moment I turn it on.
Also I find it comfortable that the temperature has been already preset for 74F'=24C' by the factory, and that it's easy programable manualy or w/remote control. When it's too hot inside I have had to set AAC for 2-4 digits lower to get the same 74F'. It's possible to cool the room below than 74F', but the stream is freezing, so I've not wanted to.
Another cool feature is that this AAC also works as a dehumidifire and that I have not needed to deal with floading waters. As promised, the absorbed water has been partially used by the system to cool itself, and the extra has been thrown into the window, so I will have to throw the water from the AAC only once, at the end of the season.
Fan has 2 speeds. In the beginning it blows stronger and, after the set temperature is reached, it goes softer automatically, unless you want it strong. The Compressor, as I mentioned earlier, turns on and off almost unnoticably and does not vibrate like some other Air Conditioners I've seen. Fan makes some reasonable noise. Saying that I have to mention that I wont be able to sleep with any level of noise in the bedroom, so I have used AAC during the day or before going to bed, when I would need it.
In general, this AAC has totaly met my expectations and needs for my pretty big 3 1/2 apt; and I have not suffered from the heat and humidity this summer compare to the previous years with just a fan.

I have it for 3 days now, and after using it yesterday, when outside was 30C, I think I made the right choice for my 3 1/2 apt & my family needs: my husband likes cool, whereas I like warm but not hot. It's below the window, so it does't cover the window's view. It's compact and cute. I installed it in the bedroom, yet it was strong enough to cool the air in my salon without causing pain in my neck. Compressor is silent. The fan, makes sound like a blowing wind, tolerable in the bedroom, and not important in the salon. Installation was easy and fun for me. I have windows moving horisontally. I just sneaked the panel between the inside and outside frames, so that I can always shut my external window for security or when it rains. There was no without confuse though. When 6 hours after delivery I turned on the device and then in 3 min turned it off, I felt a very heavy smell. It was so bad that I was concidering to return AC back. Luckily when I turned it on 2 days later I had only fresh cool air. I just hope I will continue to enjoy my AC during the hot and humide summer. Finally a discount and split payments're being a great financial relief, thanks SCH.
