Ancient art meets modern gem. While ammonites are found on every continent in rock formations from 400 million to 65 million years in age, they are only found in southern Alberta, Canada with these distinctly bright, beautiful and iridescent colours. Found just east of the Rocky Mountains in the Upper Cretaceous Bearpaw Formation, which dates back approximately 71 million years, these exceptionally scarce fossils are sought after by museums and private collectors all over the world and make some of the most popular displays. Experts within the Feng shui circle have recognized the significant properties of Canadian ammonites; when placed in the home, it is believed to promote a happy family and when placed in the office, it is thought to promote good business dealings.

• The Canadian ammonite measures approximately 5" in diameter (please note that the shape, size and colour of the ammonite may vary)
• This ammonite comes with a display stand, information card and a certificate of authenticity
• Made in Canada

LOVE this specimen

I have coveted this piece, since I bought my first Ammolite gems, years ago. Smaller than I thought, BUT gorgeous ! It is colourful & so 'meaningful'. A great investment piece!

I am a rock collector & this looks great amongst ALL my Amethyst & Quartz. It definitely needs a light shone on it, to show it's true beauty.

Buy this specimen. You won't be sorry.

Not sure about the specimen

By GEMGRAMMA

from MILLARVILLE

Although the picture on tv and the actual ammonite I received are similar in appearance, I was disappointed that there was little colour on it. For the price of this, I had expected more. I recently had an opportunity to see a collection of ammonites from Korite and there just seemed to be more colour for the same price. I am undecided what to do with my specimen. However having said that, it is a collectable for sure.

A precious piece of Canadian history!

Helpful Reviewer

After collecting and loving precious Ammolite jewellery I was thrilled to find this amazing chunk of ammonite as it comes out of the earth,a touchable, petrified piece of what was a living creature millions of years ago! It has a place of honour in my living room in full light and gets many "excuse me"s and admiration, and I look at it every day with amazement and in the meantime got another one for my son. By the way the picture cannot possibly do it justice - the changing colours when hit by light make it come alive like the jewellery! Aren't we lucky that Ken + Korite have made it possible for us to own something so rare and beautiful?!!
