I have many pieces of Korite ammolite and this piece is simple, classic and as the last reviewer said - elegant. No frills, just simple beauty of the stone.I have not seen any blue in my stone, but a couple of months from now I will look in a mirror and be surprised. That is part of the charm of ammolite.I wasn't too impressed with the silver work, it seemed a little cheesy, almost like it was cast with rhodium poured on it like you see in the chocolate commercials. That being said, it does not detract from the pendant. In a weird sort of way, if you are not inspecting the pendant, it actually enhances it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is an elegant piece of jewellery for someone that likes simplicity. Can't see blue yet but the colors of red, yellow and green are beautiful.

Quality - 'standard'
from Ottawa, Canada
The lustre and brilliance of the product does not match what is conveyed by the camera on television. In presenting ammolite gems, the host/hostess and the owner or his representative should always indicate the grading of the piece, i.e. is it AA, A+, A, Standard or B.The grading should also be part of the detailed description provided online by the Shopping Channel, which is not currently the case. The pendant I purchased and will return is rated 'Standard' on the accompanying certificate of authenticity, three grades below the top three, and this was very apparent when I opened the box. Had I known about ammolite grading and where this piece stood in the hierarchy, I would not have ordered it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
