Warning: This Rug Shed A LOT!
from Mississauga, ON
I swear my rug is beautiful but Horrible at the same time! When I first got rug and it sheds, I thought it was okay because it was new and that the shedding would last. But after a few months of daily vacuuming with my dyson its not worth at all. Yes! It is beautiful no doubt about that but putting it in your living room/ family room where children sit and play is not fun at all unless you want to spend time removing all the furs from their clothes. Worst than playing with a dozen of dogs. Maybe this rug was made of dog hair after all! TSC should test the product first before making it a Todays show stopper. Completely waste of my money.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

bought the gold and it is a keeper!
I bought the smaller size and the accent rug. Odd size but fits my area well. This is not SOFT as my Aubusson ones are. Not so great if little ones or adults sit on it but there are no little ones around here. I have not noticed any of the problems others have mentioned. I only know that I could not get this rug for that price anywhere else. Yes, the bags these rugs come in (I have 4 + accents now) are dirty and it would be impossible to get them back in to return!

Good quality for the price.

I ordered the 8x10 burgundy. Yes it came in a dirty plastic bag, but what do you expect, after shipping across Canada. Inside it was clean as I expected it would be. The underpad smelled with chemicals but airing it out for a few days dissipated the odour. It is good value for your money, there is a bit of a crooked border, but only I notice it. The colour is true to what I saw on TV, the design is lovely and it is made well. All wool rugs shed, especially when new. Wool is more durable than synthetic, they are warmer, clean easier and if you look after this carpet it will give you many years of servie. If you were expecting top notch quality this is not the carpet for you. You get what you pay for and under a thousand dollars for a wool carpet this size is hard to beat. No one knows how much I paid for it, they think it is a very expensive rug. It looks expensive, it is thick, the colour is pleasing to the eye, and it is lovely in my living room.
Luxury at a very affordable price
from Grand Falls, NL
Can't say that I've had any of the complaints that others buyers have had. I ordered this rug in gold and am very pleased with the look and quality for the price (Show Stopper). This was my first ever rug purchase so I didn't know what to expect. The color is perfect for my room decor and the pattern is beautiful. In my opinion, it has the look of a very expensive rug. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

Okay but not the greatest.
Got off to a bad start with this run which is neither TSC or the rugs fault. It was left at my door. (I had checked the tracking and saw that the delivery date was estimated to be a day later.) The value of the order was over $300 and I do not live in a secure neighborhood. The plastic covering was filthy as others have said however inside was another woven plastic bag that had protected the carpet. I am a tenant and have very bad wall to wall that I am not allowed to change. I bought this carpet to detract from the wall to wall. I bought sage and the colors are true to those shown on TV. The rug looks good overall blending and unifying the furniture and the wall to wall. If you examine the rug closely I see the issues others have described re uneven lines and cutting but they do not bother me. In fact the quality makes it a little less formal so fits my lifestyle. The backing of this carpet seems fine on my carpets although I don't know how they will hold up. The carpet does shed however I only notice that because the vacuum canister fills faster than normal. It did have terrible outgassing when I first opened the rug and my first thought was that I would have to return it. But that had dissipated within 24 hours. I do not know why a carpet that is all wool with cotton backing should be off gassing. As for recommending this, proceed cautiously would be my suggestion. If you are looking for a high end carpet this is not for you. If you are looking for a wool carpet for a low price then you might be quite happy with this one.

Not as nice as I had hoped
I was really excited to get this rug, I had ordered it in gold, it was not the quality that I expected (that being said I am keeping it, and will look for another one down the rd.) I also found the outside boarder sloppy, and there are area's that look "dirty" or miss dyed. The worst part is, the parts that they cut out the designs , the lower part has all sorts of bumps and high and low spots, so much so I have gone with my sewing scissors and have cut the rug myself to get it even. Which works but is time consuming, I have only done half, if your not to picky it's probably not a big deal, I was under the impression that this was a HIGH QUAILTY rug. If I had purchased this at a store I would have returned it, it is to much of a hassle to return threw the shopping channel , but like I said early it will do until I find another one down the rd.
I ordered this in the 5'x8' ivory. It is very pretty but the ivory isn't as true as I thought it would be, more of a light beige/*dirty* ivory. It will probably be more forgiving in the long run. A little bit of trimming was required, no biggie. Can't expect much more for a mass produced rug. All in all, great value with the showstopper price and I have no regrets.

Love my new carpet
from Toronto, ON
It really is just beatiful, the only thing I would suggest just as the presentor recommended be prepared to give the carpet a good vacumm.
from Pickering (Ontario)
Got my rug today - came with a bonus full-size anti-slip pad. Bought the large in ivory: I love Turkish/ Persian rugs - both traditional and the modern take on it. On the plus side - where can you get a hand-made, wool, 8x10 rug for this price, the colours are even, subtle and attractive, the cotton backing is well done, it's not too deeply carved so it isn't overly bumpy (I dislike carving), and it's a great room-size. On the down side, my rug arrived sealed in plastic but it's DIRTY around the edges with grey dirt marks ... it was shipped dirty. This is not acceptable! Bad quality work since the design is not well adhered to, lines are not cleanly executed, the coloured lines around the borders are not even straight. The cutting is sloppily done - sometimes it's cut off the line which was meant to be cut on so the cut swerves into the background a little. The looped areas are worse - they are not even and some areas have tufts in the middle of the loops. Machine-made wool would have been preferable so the pattern and tufting would be clean and better made. Note too, there is some off-gassing maybe from the glue - so air your room out. Fine for an inexpensive rug for a family room but not dining room or living room quality. I'm deciding if I need to crawl along the rug trimming the badly cut bits to improve the look or return it.
