Was so excited
Par Toronto shopper!
I searched all over Toronto, couldn't find this product. I love love love The Shopping Channel so decided to try! And there it was. I looked at other websites too but this route was the easiest. It arrived quickly and I told everyone I would tell them how it worked when it got here. Both of them give me a fair charge but really almost one phone charge per use, then I have to charge it. My spouse isn't using it anymore. Would recommend but maybe some of them don't work as well as others?

so useful ....
A must in the purse. I love my halo and my friends all ordered one when seeing me charge my cell phone right then and now as I had no other device to go with it. My family was impressed and I help a lot of people that are out of batteries as I take it out to help them. Very good device.
Waste of $$$

I purchased this and charged it up. Off to visit family so I hoped it would charge my iPhone. Not. I give it one more try and fully charged, it only got my phone to 67%. No point in charging it again. What a waste of my money.I wish there was some way I could try another one to see if it is just mine that is not good.

Sad - waste.

My mother-in-law bought it and got the 2 for 1, she gave my husband and I the second one as my phone doesn't hold a charge and dies very quickly and with a newborn; she wanted to know no matter what we'd have something. In the beginning I loved this product; but as others have said the "Holds a charge for months" really doesn't apply to that, if you were to just plug it in, turn your phone back on, make a quick call and unplug it; then yes it may. But it barely charges my Samsung Focus fully. Not only that, now 2 months later; it no longer charges my phone at all; the connection is screwy and we don't have any other devices that use any of the other connections so I can't tell if it's the little piece or the halo itself for that; but last night we went to check again just in case; and after having the halo unplugged from charging for only 10 minutes, it was showing it was only 1/2 charged; it was fully charged not even 10 minutes prior! Maybe I got a lemon; I thought it was great - for 2 months. :(
Halo Pocket charger

I'm rather disappointed in this item. I bought it when it first came to TSC. I charged it as per the directions. They said it takes about 6 hours to charge but I left it charging overnight for about 12 hours. The first time I used it, my Samsung Galaxy S3 was at 37 percent. The Halo managed to get the charge up to 98% before the Halo ran out of charge. A charge of only 62%.I just used it again yesterday. The same phone was at 22% battery, and the Halo got it to 64% before it ran out of charge. A charge of only 44%. And yes, the Halo was at full charge as I had charged it a couple days prior. It's good in an absolute pinch, but certainly doesn't give anywhere near the security or amount of charge that the representative on air claims. She claimed that the Halo charges her Galaxy S3 1 and a 1/2 times before it runs out of charge.

Works for the purpose it was intended
I bought this to charge my Kobo Vox which has a very short battery life. I bought the Halo to give me some extra reading time. I did some online research before purchasing and even though the VOX doesn't show it's charging, (ie:the charge light isn't on) it is drawing charge from the Halo. When my Vox was at 10% (and in the red zone advising me to recharge) I was able to get another couple of hours of reading by connecting it to the Halo. Works for me!

I've been using and testing this device with alot of different electronics I have. This works and is great for small items: iPhone, iPod (iPhone5 - should already come with the connector to the phone and like mine should be able to swap out the plug and use the USB connection to the Halo).I couldn't 'fully' charge my KoboVox or Athenos iPad - only charged them to about 30%, then had to charge the Halo again - so it took me about 4X to charge an iPad to 100% capacity. It didn't charge my JVC and Pentax handheld camera/video, it did charge my HP pocket camera. This tells me that the Halo is not made for large electronics: thus, the milliamperes hour needs to be larger. Larger electronics have greater Amps and that is found on the back or bottom the electronic device.Halo is rated for 2800mAh which is equivalent to 2.8A (You must buy a battery charger that has the same voltage as the device that you are attaching it to is rated for.) And that would explain why it charges small devices. With the man saying that it can hold a charge for 3 months is wrong - it can't. All devices 'leak' amps when not in use and is completely drained when you don't use for months. Yes I charge it after every use and charge it when I haven't used it in some time. I always have it beside the laptop and its charging while I'm on the computer. Its a good habit to get into so the device is always ready. Devices is great for emergencies.

I bought one for my daughter and tried it out myself first. It worked. I did take it out of the package and charged it. It is not fully charged when you get it - there is only enough power to partially charge a phone. I then ordered two more and they love it. They also charged theirs up first before using which didn't take long.

This is my second review. When I received the charger, I assumed it did not come fully charged but the Halo doesn't seem to stay charged. The description and the video states that it is supposed to stay charged for many months. It does not. I have to recharge it after every use and I only use it simply for my iPhone. Even if my phone is at 50% by the time the Halo charges the last 50%, the Halo itself needs to be recharged. If I recharge my iPhone say from 20% then be careful because it drains the Halo. This is disappointing however the Halo is still good if you're in a hurry. Just remember CHARGE the Halo AFTER EACH USE.Other than that - it's an alright product.

Loved this product. Grandkids ran out of power and Grandma saved the day with the Halo! Charged their machines and kept them busy while travelling. Told quite a few friends about it and they have brought them now to.Think I wll be buying more of these for gilfs.Great product and I love the size of it.So easy just to keep in your purse.
