Great Little Solver
With all the technology in our houses, and just general usage of needing extra plugs I thought this was a great idea versus running surge bars along one's baseboards. These are meant for regular basic home use;no additional of extension cords to it; no outside use. I ordered several of these. It has a unique ability to de-clutter an outlet, and get furniture closer to the wall due to the side panels that flip. Yes, it could be made of heavier plastic; there could be heavier surge protection, but for basic house use, I am very pleased. For certain areas of the house it is fine. I would not use it on expensive Computer hardware or TV systems. Common sense should dictate when one should invest in the appropriate size, style and protection covered by a very good surge protector that has a substantial warranty. If one is in doubt as to this product's usage, one could call their power company for information and opinion, or the manufacturer of the product.

Great problem solver.
These are great for outlets that have more than two devices plugged in. This eliminates having to use extension cords. These are super. To the person who wrote about the 30' feet of wire: this means that your service panel ie. electrical breakers in your house has to be approximatly 30 feet from the outlet. In most situations that would be the case.

Useful for inconvenient outlets.
I immediately saw a use for one of these plugs as I have an outlet which is very poorly placed and had limited use. The plug has proved to be a big problem solver and a very worthwhile purchase.
I am not sure where and how to use this device. I waited too long to return the item. There certainly weren't enough facts provided during presentation by the hosts.

It seems the power surge will stop working if the surge exceeds the load of the circuit, who knows what that would be. Also on the plug it says there has to be 30 feet of wire between the outlet and the service panel. I wanted to use it was a CD player and bedside lamp, neither of which has 30 feet of wire???? Neither of these two items were mentioned by the hosts of TSC, though I am aware it would not exceed the limit for the surge in this example
