fell apart first time
I ordered this camera specifically for a wedding. Took about 8 to 10 pictures before the lens literally fell apart in my hands. Worst part _ it happened just as my nephew was walking my great neice down the aisle. Cant get that moment back! Not happy _ returning. Expected more from canon.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

ok for price but returned it today
I ordered this camera in hopes it was better than my Powershot A2300 and A610. Unfortunately not. Responsive and good for quick pics, minimal menu wastes time to get what you need better to have the buttons ON the panel than to seek for them. Prefer MACRO feature accessible over an ECO mode. This is good for students or someone who would rather a quick shot that isn't so great but good enough for social networking and such or documenting your inventories. Too much noise in low light. 20MP doesn't mean it takes good pictures. Good Video though. Best compact in Canon is the G16 hands down. The appeal of this compact is good though, and I would not pay over $100 for it. With taxes at $160 there is better out there.
