I used these balls for a month, and I found my clothes were not fresh and whites I notice were still dirty. I wash in cold water and if this is the problem I prefer not to use them. I'm back on the soap....
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Does the job
from Hamilton (Ontario)
I have used for over a month now on clothes, mats, curtains, etc. They do the job as advertised. Everything comes out consistently clean and surprisingly extremely soft. I really like how fresh everything smells. Goodbye to harsh chemicals and their residue/scent. These balls help a bit with static in the dryer, but not completely depending upon what is being dryed. Best to use dryer balls for that job.
Not good for everything
from Stratford, Ontario
Please do not use these washing balls on your blankets, bath mats, or anything that can snag. I had my washer on gentles and they still put holes in my brand new bath mat, and my blanket, has a lot of the fuzz taken off.Probably good for jeans.
At first I was reluctant to use it as I was wondering whether these washing balls will really do the job without any detergent or softeners. I did give it a try and was amazed with the results. My laundry feels clean and soft. Now I am using these washing balls without hesitation . I noticed also that the whites are even whiter and the colors brighter.
they actually work
from TORONTO, ON
these actually work, in order to deodorize my clothes from sweat smell. I had to add my homemade laundry detergent but still better than buying chemical filled commercial products.

Not as good as everyone says
I don't know what everyone is talking about when they rave about these washing balls. Maybe I just got a couple of defective ones. It's not that the cloth's didn't come out clean, although when you wash darks I don't know how you could really tell.....it's just that as far as I'm concerned if you can still smell body odors on freshly washed cloths then they're not clean!
I was not a believer!

What a nice surprise when I did my first load of whites without using soap OR fabric softener! My niece threw in a white winter jacket to prove to herself if the balls really work . When we took the wash from the dryer and checked for any tell tale spots, we were so pleased with the results including her dirty white jacket!I have done many loads and have not used any soap or fabric softener since.Thank TSC for making these balls available. My niece placed an order that day!NO MORE EXPENSIVE SOAP. Yippee!
Magic Era Washing Balls
I am very happy with this product. I was skeptical about ordering them but read the reviews and decided to go ahead and give them a try. I think they are fantastic!!! I recommended them to my daughter and she has purchased them as well. I have already recommended them to more people as well. Very good product!

I have a front load washer, so I can't let the balls "soak for an hour" as recommended, but my wash comes out clean, static is a thing of the past, and I can rest assured there's no left over chemical residue on my children's clothing. I do add a little bit of baking soda to real dirty clothes, but overall, I am very happy with my "little green washing balls"
