i loved it but it died

I bought my pressure cooker about 11 months ago. I loved it as everything tasted so good. Plugged it in the other day and it wouldn't heat up at all. What a disappointment. I ordered a different brand from the shopping channel and I hope I have better luck next time.

All i can say is: This product made me to decide to return it before i use it. The reason was the size and the wight. But, when i used it several times, it completely changed my mind. If you go according to the instruction, this product is Perfect. I am happy with my purchase and i, definitely recommend it to everyone.

I bought my pressure cooker in March 2013, first one lve ever owned and its sensational to say the least.Everything lve cooked in it makes me look lm a good cook!(and lm not btw). l work long hours and can come home take food out of the freezer and be eating a home cooked meal in an hour.lve noticed lately that it doesnt pressurize, liquids burn in the bottom and you can open the lid while cooking without letting steam release. l called cuizen canada, they walked me through what could be wrong and are sending me a new one..without proof of purchase? Very helpful and courteous company to deal with.
Too heavy, but works well

Like other reviewers I was very surprised by the weight and actual size of the pressure cooker. It didn't seem as large on TV! However, that aside, it works very well after about 6 uses so far. I've made two batches of ribs, a wonderful beef burgundy, and stew. I have not tried the slow cooker setting but expect it to be equally as good. The ribs were fall-apart tender, just like on TV. It's far too big to keep on my counter so I have to store it in the basement and bring it up to cook - but it is worth the effort. I'm sure that over the winter I will make many "comfort foods" in it and I plan to look for a good recipe book as the little one with the appliance is too skimpy. I would recommend this appliance.

Previously I said that it was very heavy and that I couldn't get it out of the box. I got someone to help me get it unpacked and found a place for it on my kitchen island.I have to say that it works very well once you get it to pressurize. For some things it takes quite a long time (sometimes 30 minutes or more) to build up the pressure. I also have difficulty getting it to pressurize at times. You have to be very careful about the amount of food or liquid that you put in. 1/2 for food. 2/3 full for liquid.Even a bit over the 1/2 way point for food, will prevent it from building up pressure and will cauase steam to escape all around the lid.Given how you can only put so much into the pot before it won't pressurize, I can't help to wonder how on TV they can demo so many lobsters and corn in the cooker.There are some issues, but overall it is a pretty good machine. I've been enjoying rapid cooking and pretty much have been cooking all of my meals in it since I started using it.
I have used this product a couple of times now, and have loved the results! I can hardly wait for the holiday season...bring it on!

Have used it a few time as a slow cooker and it has been great. Meat has been tender and ribs are fall off the bone. As other reviews would like more recipes.
I just got this item and I can't get it out of the box; it's too heavy. The box says "27.2 pounds." You either have to have counter space to keep this on all of the time, or a strong back if you have to store it away from your kitchen and bring it out when you want to use it. Not sure at this point if I'm going to struggle to get it out of the box. They need to post the weight of this unit on the page it is sold.

I was a little unsure about this purchase but intrigued by 5 star reviews from other TSC shoppers. If you grew up with a stove top pressure cooker, like I did, this is completely different. Very little odour, noise and heat. It is fun and exciting (never thought I would be describing cooking that way) to see how your recipe has turned out when you lift the lid! I highly recommend Bob Warden's "Great Food Fast" for spectacular recipes that are designed for this type of pressure cooker.

We just love this cooker. It works just like they said it would. I've cooked about 6 times with it now and like the way you can thicken sauces or gravy with the steam feature. I've also canned with it as I only had a couple jars to do which didn't fit in my large pressure canner batch.It did the job just like a larger pressure canner, so nice I had three canners running at once. The cooker saves so much time for us. Only one time I tried cooking frozen chicken breasts 4 at a time and one of the breasts was not cooked enough. I believe it was a thicker chunk of meat and being frozen affected the cooking time. The browning feature is so cool to brown meat or fry the onions and garlic first. The only compliant I have is that the recipe book is too small. It would be nice to give us more ideas for cooking and how other people mentioned the lack of instruction on how to pressure can with it.
