Great product with browning feature!

I have not used a pressure cooker in 30 years due to the threat of being injured with the wobbling pressure release. I love this product! The browning feature is brilliant and saves me using another pan to clean and works extremely well. Safe pressure release!!!I gave it a 4 star since it requires a rack for cooking and steaming for a good number of items. Most pressure cookers seem to have it included but this product does not. A rack and more recipes and I would be willing to pay more for this product since it is just perfect for my needs.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have NEVER used a pressure cooker before. I HAVE used a slow cooker, though, and it is so big and heavy, and obviously food takes forever to cook. I'm also an impatient cook, and if it's too complicated or involved then I cannot concentrate enough to really want to attempt that recipe. One day, I saw Chef Collins and Natalie demonstrating this product. I can't recall if it was on TV or watching the clip online. However, the blockbuster price coupled with the free shipping promo made it all the more attractive. I actually did hem and haw because although the product made sense and one-pot meals are amazing, I just couldn't wrap my head around food cooking that quickly! I went ahead and ordered and it was one of the best decisions I have made in my LIFE! To be honest, the first use I messed up because I misread the instructions. It is vital to read them properly, so please heed my warning! I was too eager and missed a step. The food still tasted great, though. I use it almost daily, now. The pressure and browning settings are the only ones I've used so far. The included guide is a great resource, and the recipes I downloaded to my computer from this product page are also nice to have. Some items that I've made are: soups, lamb ribs, rosemary potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potato mash with cinnamon and almonds, roasted chicken, and the best apple sauce! My own recipe: five peeled and coursely chopped apples, five over-ripe bananas, one cup of water, pumpkin spice to taste, and set pressure on high for only 8 minutes. Let cool, stir, and mash to reduce bananas and thicken mixture. Eat on its own or add some almonds, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, granola, and peanut butter for a quick and healthy snack. The unit is very easy to clean and the reason I left off a star is because it doesn't come with a wire rack like the other pressure cookers available at TSC. However, I am quite pleased overall and one of the best purchases from TSC.

Used the pressure cooker twice now. Very easy to use and clean up is a breeze. Cooked a beef roast with veg and it was quite nice. Looking forward to more recipes in the future. I can imagine this will be a mainstay from here on out. Not your grandma's pressure cooker that is for sure!

I sat on the fence a long time before I bought a pressure cooker. The price sold me as well as the great demos. This is like a crock pot on steroids! Easy to clean. Clear instructions that are easy to follow. I have made a variety of meals and have had nothing but success. This appliance rocks. No regrets.
