Guillaume Every Day Glamour Leather Jacket with Removable Faux Fur Trim

What can you say about Canada being fortunate to boast Monsieur G. as one of the most incredible designer's in women's jackets, coats, etc. anywhere.

I am the proud owner of four exquisite jackets of Mr. G.'s brilliant talent.

The design of this leather jacket (black) is sheer perfection. I adore the removable faux fur collar which allows for multi season wearability. The fit is as though it was tailored made for me and the leather is soft and superior quality.

Thus far Mr. G. has made my jacket and coat collection the envy of my friends and people in the area in which I live.......gotta love that!!!

Thank you Mr. G. for designing and producing top flight fashion and luxurious fabrics in outerwear for the women at TSC.

This is one of my most favourite lines and I await each new visit with enthusiasm.

Was so disappointed when my blk. jacket arrived yesterday, limited quantities at this point, to find that while the bag it's in reads size 1X there is absolutely no indication of size on the garment itself & it fits like a XL. This jacket is in the wrong bag. It is actually a size XL I would bet. So sorry, but it must be returned.

I purchased this jacket in java small. I've purchased many Guillaume coats and jackets over the years and have always found the size small to be a perfect fit... including the "23" Notch-Collar Dark Olive Green Jacket with Convertible Pockets" that is currently being offered by Guillaume/TSC– and which I LOVE!!! This jacket is very-well made but the one I received fits VERY snugly. I can't wear anything more than a lightweight top under it – certainly not a sweater. I was considering sending it back but I really like the design, the rich chocolate brown colour, and the amazing Stylish Savings price! So I'm probably going to keep it. I'm just hoping for size consistency on Guillaume's part since I haven't gained any weight and all his other size smalls fit me just fine.

There are two other things about this jacket that I feel could use improvement: 1. The zipper. Generally speaking, I find the zippers on most of Guillaume's jackets difficult to work as far as getting the two sides "engaged" so I can zip up the jacket and also getting the two sides "disengaged" so I can remove the jacket. 2. The faux fur. I like the way it's attached – easy to put on and take off and the buttonholes are very well done so that they don't show up when the fur's not on. I just don't like the colour of the fur – it's very grey and drab... not at all flattering to the complexion. I would've preferred something warmer – especially to go with the warm chocolate brown jacket. Also, when the fur is removed from my jacket, the collar refuses to lie flat.

Finally, the jacket I received reeked of a very strong perfume. Luckily, I'm not allergic to perfume but anyone who is would not be able to get anywhere near this jacket. For me, the major annoyance is that I don't like this particular scent and it clashes with the scent I wear. Hopefully I'll be able to air the overwhelming scent out of this jacket. So ladies, if you're just trying on an item of clothing or if you're wearing it out but still not sure that you're going to keep it, please don't wear perfume or anything strongly scented. (And please check the pockets before you send back a garment – a couple of weeks ago I received a lovely Joan Rivers houndstooth coat and when I put my hands in the pockets, I discovered a dirty used tissue – which, of course, should have ultimately been removed by someone at TSC before the coat was sent back out!)

In conclusion, I would recommend this jacket (especially at the Stylish Savings price) but mainly for the jacket itself and not so much the fur. A removable faux-fur collar is a fabulous option to have but the drab colour is not. Also, based on my experience, I would recommend sizing up if you wanted to wear anything but a light top underneath.

I just received this Guillame leather jacket in black and do find it just OK but nothing special. The leather is not very good quality. Personally I am not impressed with the jacket and will be returning it.

My jacket arrived today and I am thrilled with it. Another fabulous garment from Guillaume.

The feel, fit and look are just perfect. It doesn't get any better. You just feel like a member of the million $$$$ club. I sure hope that Guillaume keeps up with designing more beautiful jackets. I now have seven of them.

I ordered this jacket, unsure of the exact size since there are 2 size charts, so I measured myself with a measuring tape then compared my meausurements against the size chart measurements and my jacket arrived being the perfect fit!

I feel like I won the lottery in this jacket - I couldn't believe the quality of this item considering its economical price! The jacket fits like a glove and hugs me in all the right places which is very flattering to my figure, and I constantly get compliments on it from complete strangers. I love the quality, the weight, and the rich color of the jacket, even the lining is luxurious.

I look for any excuse to wear this jacket although it's been to warm to wear it with the fur collar (which I removed to wear it immediately). It's the perfect jacket for an evening on the town (or for a job interview) in a skirt or dress pants, as well as going casual in jeans. Best purchase I've EVER made!

I had been saving up to buy a leather jacket at the mall from a well-known retailer but there's no need for that now as I'm in love with this jacket. I will definitely purchase Guillaume again and I can't wait to see what he comes out with next!

This is the most flattering and expertly sewn jacket I have ever owned! Like another reviewer, I also ordered the java, and it makes me hungry for chocolate every time I look at it - LOL! I ordered my usual size large, and it feels and looks custom-made. I love the way the fluffy collar is attached and having the option of removing it. One little nit-pick, dear Guillaume, which is the reason for the four stars only: the bottom edge of the zipper is covered by the leather, making closure a bit awkward. But, once it is done up...VA-VA-VA-VOOM!
