Diane Gilman Denim Sleeveless Trench Dress

I was lucky enough to purchase this dress in a small (Navy)! I wrote a review previously on a large I had ordered and returned as no small was available.

The small fits great and looks fab. The belt is still miles too big but I will just tie it as shown on the models.

Now that I have my size down pat on this line I will continue to purchase DG as I find the quality to be super and the price point on this sale item even better. Lovely casual, classy looking dress.

this was so cute but again the sizing was way off. I wish DG would make sure what she puts out is sized properly i am tired of returning things.

I love Diane Gilman's line but implore you to add an extra-small size. It seems like a cruel joke to have petite lengths in pants, for example, but not a corresponding extra-small size. Even though this dress in a small is a little too big for me, I'm keeping it because it is just too cute not to. I agree with other reviewers that a lighter jean material would have been better, but it is still lovely. I'm going to try to shrink the heck out of it and keep my fingers crossed that you will soon add a smaller size to your line. From a frustrated petite person who is nevertheless a big fan.

Pretty, feminine, well made but 2x too big. Yet another item I've ordered from this line where the sizing is an issue.

I ordered a large according to the size chart and reviews which said it fits true to size. NOT SO. It was not just a little large it was way too big. The belt holes were 14" from where I needed them to be. Its really too bad because I love this dress.

I will hope that someone returns a small (maybe medium)!

I still recommend this item and this line as it is very well made but please, please, please do something with the sizing issue. For this reason & this reason only I have to give this item a 4*. (3* said average or ordinary and this dress is neither of these)

I purchased the khaki. I am 5'6" and it goes to about 1 inch above centre of knee. It is heavy material, may be too warm for the hottest summer days, we shall see -- certainly great for cooler summer days/evenings and for spring/fall. With respect to the buttons, the buttonholes had stray strands of thread so the buttons caught on them at first, but I just clipped them to neaten them up. I am very happy with this dress, and there were no surprises, and no disappointments. I can foresee lots of wear, and would look wonderful open necked with a scarf.

Ordered this dress in the khaki color and do not understand WHY their is a (foul) smell coming of the dress. I already have this dress in the denium
color and love it. Have read reviews were this is a problem with some of the items that TSC sells. so what is up with this. Here is another return........
Funny I recommend this dress when I bought it in the denium gave it 4 stars. But sadly I can't recommend it this time............

I gave this dress 4 stars because the colour, quality and sizing are all good. It has great stretch and is very stylish. The problem for me is the heaviness of the dress. It looked like it would be a light canvas but it is in fact quite heavy denim which I didn't notice when I purchased it. It's just too much dress for me for the summer.

Just received this dress was worried about ordering it because of the lenght. As on the the modles it show way above the knee. I'm 5 4' and it just below my knee. Love it the only problem is the belt hole need to be longer as I can't wear it belted. That is why I gave it 4 stars. I'm an going to make sure that I DON"T put it in a dryed.
