For 92 years everyone accepted that vacuum cleaners lost suction quickly, but James thought that was ridiculous - there had to be a better way.
“I was frustrated with my vacuum cleaner - it quickly clogged with dust, destroying the suction and leaving dirt behind. So I set about developing an entirely new type of vacuum cleaner to solve the problem. More than 5,000 prototypes later I had it - the first vacuum cleaner that doesn't clog and doesn't lose suction.”

I bought this vacuum cleaner BECAUSE it was small! I am absolutely delighted with it. It is impossible to remember all the vacuum cleaners I have used over the years but this Dyson is by far the very best. I am so impressed with the suction and the duster attachment is wonderful. I was able to dust my entire home with it mainly because of the design of the brush - it goes around everything easily. I look forward to using the other attachments as needed. I am definitely pleased that I purchased this.

at what came out of my carpet the first time I used this! Holy smokes, scary stuff. Definitely the best vacuum we've owned. This model is on the small side so I couldn't see using it for a big house. Small House, Condo, Townhouse, it's a great size for that. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the little button on the side of the head, it gets hit too easily to turn the roller off.
Overall, a disappointing purchase
from Halifax NS
I was really pleased when this was offered as a show=stopper. I was however very disappointed when it arrived. The vacuum is very small and after using it on three 5 by 7 rugs, I had to empty the cannister. The hard surface brush has a very narrow width and is not practical for a good sized floor. That being said, the system has good suction and the tools snap on and off easily. This would make it a good choice for folks who have mobility impairments. I would term this a condo or apartment sized machine.Under normal circumstances I would be returning my purchase, but I wiill give it to a neice who is going to university in the fall and moving into her first apartment. Will be a good choice for her!
