I have been cooking 2-3 times a week in Emeril's electric pressure cooker, saves time and it's easy. Look up other books online and you can figure out the times for this cooker also. I think Emeril is coming out with a new cookbook with all his gadgets, so it will be fun. I would like to see more healthful recipes.

Easy to eat well with this machine
from Ottawa, ON
Forget the pressure cooker experiences from the days when the machine was on the stove, belching and burping and threatening to explode. I am a big fan of soups and stews - I do not like to eat prepared foods. I can make a pot of excellent soup in 10 minutes with this pressure cooker. You can take meat from the freezer when you arrive home from work and still make a nutrituous meal with fresh produce. This cooker is easy to use and not the least bit intimidating! No fuss cooking! Easy clean-up.
My personal chef in the kitchen
This is a great appliance! Makes perfect rice, chili, butter chicken, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. But the best part is that everything cooks in one pot, even frozen ground beef, and in a short time, dinner is served. This is my best friend on a weeknight for dinner. The cleanup is easy. The temperature settings are different than other pressure cookers out there, and the ability to select the temperature, high or low or browning or saute, is a great way to personalize your own receipes. The ability to brown your meats and saute the veggies with the lid off and then lock the lid down and let it cook is a great feature for a pressue cooker. No more having to brown your meats first in a separate pan. It is a large size unit, but still fits nicely on the counter top. You really need this size when cooking for a family of four or more but still works perfectly if just cooking for two. It's the convenience of pressure cooking and getting the flavour in such a short amount of time. If you love soups or jumbos or stews and chilis then this presuure cooker can do the job. T-fal has made the clean up easy.
Love it so much
from Armagh (Québec)
I love it so much. The right size, so easy to use. I am a regular user of a pressure cooker and this one is on the top. The function BROWNING is so perfect. I can say that because I have another pressure cooker but this one is the best for browning. Even if I had this item already, the name Emeril and T-Fal made me buy another one and I am happy to say that it is very, very good. Thanks to Emeril and T-Fal.

This cooker works well and is very easy to use. I couldn't decide between five stars or one. I would have given it five if it were a smaller size. I knew this was a 6 quart model and my research online reassured me that this size would be fine for 1 - 2 people. However, the instructions mention, in only one place, that the pot must be 20% full before steam can build up. That is too much if cooking for one. Extra portions can be frozen but one doesn't always want to do that. I am returning the cooker to search for a smaller electric size.

Not Enough Instructions
from Burlington Ont
I was thrilled when I recieved this appliance. No more standing over top of the stove cooking dried beans for hours. But even though they have recipes with beans in it, there's no instructions for just cooking dried beans. I e-mailed T-Fal in the states requesting information on cooking dried beans in this pressure cooker and they sent me the same booklet as I had gotten with this appliance. Pressure cookers make me nervous, so I'm not going to guess how much water I should add to dried chick peas or kidney beans and then figure out how long I should cook them for. I sent back the machine and it really bothered me to lose almost 20.00 in shipping. More instructions are required....thats for sure.
