Follow these quick and easy steps to lock in the freshness of your meals.
1. Simply lay the lid, smooth side facing down and the middle button centered on top of the desired bowl/pan. The stainless steel ring should have a minimum surplus of 1/2" from the outside edge of the container. Make sure the Genius Cover & the rim is clean, grease-free and dry.
2. Press down on the pressure point in the middle of the Genius Cover. The best results are achieved when you slightly lift the side of the cover when pressing on the middle, so that the air can get out easily and form a secure vacuum seal on the container.
3. The receptacle you just closed is now air tight and can be stacked or stored in the refrigerator.
Caution:
• Never lift the bowls or pots at the metal ring around the Genius Covers
• Always grip the bowl itself or the pot handles
• For best results use containers with smooth rims and surfaces
• Bowls with slightly waved or strongly structured edges are not so effective
• Never put the Genius Covers directly on the burners or over open flames
• Whenever possible try to avoid contact with hot walls inside the oven
• Do not bring Genius Covers in contact with sharp or pointed objects (knives or forks)
