The flower tower was not too difficult to assemble, but I found it difficult to put soil and flowers inside. I planted them early June, and now it is Aug 8, and the flowers have not grown enough to cover the plastic. Therefore, it doesnt look that attractive. I have been watering them and I fertilized the soil. Most of the plants are healthy, petunias and impatiens, but have not grown enough to cover the black plastic. This product did not turn out as expected, I will be putting them in the garbage at the end of the season. Too difficult to plant and flowers dont grow as expected.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Had no problem putting them together. Stood each one in a tub to fill. At first I thought the holes were too big. ( I used the small 6 packs of plants.) Looked like they would fall out, but after 6 weeks, they are the most beautiful planters I have ever had. They have been moved many times with no problems.

BEAUTIFUL, unique and genius design

Just adore these, my strawberry plants arrived within days, took time to put it all together, well worth all effort. Today they are DRIPPING w/fresh berries. Easy to water/fertilize, move around with the finger holes. Had a driveway sale, and everyone wanted to buy them. Where did I get them? Well they all wrote down TSC, hope they all purchase. What a spectacular showing of berries with no worries about SLUGS or dirt!!!
Unique when planted
from Greater Toronto Area
Ordered as a showstopper but waited to see the end results. When I opened the package, assembly looked daunting, but one I followed my instincts, the towers snapped together quite nicely. I turned them over to my experienced gardeners to plant. They said it was a challenge to fill the soil and then pop the plants in, making sure that there were no air pockets. But also commented that the holes were quite tight. Maybe they will be looser next year. They are now planted on my front porch and developing nicely with begonias. Looking tall, and unique. Have had many compliments from neighbours, wanting to know where I got them. They do require patience to get the best show, but well worth it. Only gave it 3 stars, as they may be too challenging for some people. But really easy to care for.
These are great!
Yes, they are a bit hard to put together. But once they are they do not come apart. I have one full of petunias and it is doing really well. They other is full of vegys and herbs. Tomatoes, cucumber and peppers at the bottom and all the herbs near the top. Everything is growing very well.
Cheap & flimsy but good design
from Richmond, B.C.
I had high hopes when I ordered them but upon receiving it my hopes were dashed. The plastic is cheap and flimsy. The installation wasn't as bad as I thought but you have to be careful with some of the sharp edges on the plastic. Just to make sure that the sides don't pop open after filling up with soil, I secured it with heavy elastic bands at intervals. Reviewers on their website were saying that the tower do topple over in the wind and it is difficult to move it around once filled. I will however place some small drainage rocks on the bottom to weigh it down so it wouldn't topple over as easily and in the meantime keep my fingers crossed. I reluctantly give it a 2-star only because of the good design but the material is certainly of poor quality.I am also peeved because I only received it a few days ago and now they are on as Showstopper which is cheaper than when I ordered them.I am only keeping them and not sending them back to TSC because return postage would not make it feasible. I should have listen to the reviewers on the Flower Tower website.

Bought a set of these a month or so ago. I wanted to wait until plants were established before submitting a review.Assembly was easy enough. I personally had no trouble with the tabs but it is very strong material. Some people would perhaps not be strong enough to complete the job. A little messy planting but that is the nature of gardening. I filled both of mine with impations. They are looking very strong and healthy but the bottom plants are growing much fuller than the top regardless of the special watering tube I assembled as directed.
Worth the effort

I bought 2 sets as showstoppers. The first was a challenge to assemble but it got much easier with each after that. A little messy to plant but the results are worth it. I have easily moved them often to follow the sun or just to see where they look best. One is even a combination of flowers & herbs. NO REGRETS.
takes some work but worth it!

Yes the towers are difficult to put together-thank goodness for my husband who put them together. At first, the first 2 rows take time to plant and are more difficult but then you get on a roll.I did all 6 in petunias and now are filling in and will be beautiful. They are very much worth!!!!!I will not tell anyone where I got them as I don't want to share my garden secrets!
