Have no idea why all the hype on this
By Barbara Ann

Usually, when I open up a piece of jewellery, I am thrown aback with it's beauty and shine. When I opened the box, I was totally disappointed. The tanzanite a 1.5 ct Not a chance! The white sapphires have NO sparkle and in the rhodium plate, you can barely see them there. You have to look with a fine toothed comb. DULL and LIFELESS! The setting face on is nice with the tanzanite but from the side- the ring looks as if it came out of a kids toy box. Terrible shoddy workmanship. There is simply no attention to details. Tons of details but to make out what it is, is impossible!Over all, considering I got the ring for a bit over 150.00- I'll keep it and wear it when I wear purples or blues. I would have preferred this ring in a nice real gold setting. This stone by no means is a top grade tanzanite and it is NOT 1.5 cts unless there is some misprint.been in the jewel business for over 25 years!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Love! Love! Love! This Ring!
from Chilliwack (B.C)
I love this ring so much that I bought "two" - one in each colour setting-rhodium & gold plate. The tanzanite stones in the rings I received are a lovely blue with hints of purples & pinks. I just love wearing them and would recommend them to anyone who loves the vintage style setting & tanzanite.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Not perfect but...
Sits very well on my hand. Stone is good but on the mauvey side. Prongs DO catch and always have bits of fuzz to be removed. Two rough edges on back. Not what I expect from Gen12. I do like the setting and it was a good deal. One day may pack it up and ask Bob to perfect it. Am keeping. Will recommend due to Bob's good service.

A nice piece
from Brampton, ON
This was my first purchase from G1912 - I'm not normally drawn to jewelry that's so detailed or estate-like. However for the price, I felt that if it was going to be a good quality tanzanite stone, I'd give it a try.Overall I'm pleased. The tanzanite is a good quality with pretty good colour - not AAA, but still a good buy for the price paid. It does sparkle, it's not dull or cloudy, and there are a few flashes of pink. Definitely more purple than blue. But overall I'm happy with it. It's a substantial look that gets attention, so I look forward to wearing it.

The setting is on the larger side but on my size 5.5 finger looks balanced. The stone is pretty. It is not AAA but then it wasn't advertised as such. I would say it is a Aa grade stone. Lovely. I bought a G1912 trriple A ring years ago and that stone was deep purple with red flashes. I sent this ring to Bob in N.Y. to be sized down to a 5.5 because it was spinning on my finger. I have the ring back and it sits perfectly without moving. It is very comfortable. I love the look of it! Beautiful piece :) Very happy with the ring and Bob's people in N.Y.

By Kira a torricelumn girl since 2003!!!!

I missed out on this beautiful tanzanite ring when it was last aired , but I kept checking back to see if any had come back into the system . I was fortunate to order , not one but two ! I was not disappointed when I opened the box , beautiful tanzanite , beautiful detail on the engraving. I ordered the silver rhodium plated ring in size 10 to wear on my pointer or middle finger , even though quite a large ring sits very comfortably on the hand . I have sent it back however because of the setting on the side of the ring with the larger sapphires , the prongs holding theses sapphires were very rough and would catch on fabrics. I am fortunate to have many pieces of jewellery and have discovered jewellery needs to be comfortable or I just won't enjoy wearing it , and I felt it would just sit in my jewellery box for that reason .I may regret sending this beautiful tanzanite back , but felt that this was the best option for me .Bob please bring back at least a few GOLD pieces NOT PLATED !!!!!I HAVE A ruby white gold ring marquise from your line of jewelery that I purchased a few years ago , and I love it and I wear it often , it has become one of my favorite pieces !!!
When I opened the box I was impressed with the colour of the tanzanite -- very vibrant and clear and not cloudy. It went very well with the silver plating. I find the ring very comfortable to wear and not too big for my liking. It has a vintage style. I have received a lot of compliments. The packaging was also quite nice and impressive. VERY HAPPY I BOUGHT THIS RING!! The price was right too!!

Well, after reading the positive reviews, I realize I didn't get AAA stones. The tanzanite is a bit pale and doesn't have any red in it nor the deep blues & purples of such a lovely gem. The sapphires are also dull with little to no sparkle whatsoever. The silver is dull with no shine but I now realize the Generations 1912 is based on older pieces so I thought maybe that's why. Ahhh, just had a brainwave. I probably rec'd the dull, lifeless ring that the other lady reported and said she was sending back as I bought mine much later and it fits her description to a "T"! I too should have ret'd it...too late. Live and learn!

I wear this gorgeous ring with jeans and/or dresses. It is definitely a statement piece. The tanzanite stone is exquisite. The price for this particular quality of tanzanite is one of the greatest things about it. The craftmanship of the ring is top notch, it sits very comfortably on my finger and the compliments never stop!

I had been wanting a tanzanite ring for awhile and was so happy to get one on sale, but this was not to be.. I was shocked at the setting,it looked plastic like it came out of a child's bubblegum machine. What a dishonour to this beautiful stone.
