Generations 1912 Sterling Silver White & Blue Sapphire Enamel Ring

I fell in love with this ring in the green when I first saw it months ago, but I couldn't justify the expenditure. When the price dropped to the dazzling deal,I ordered it and it arrived yesterday.
It looks even smaller and more delicate than on TV
or the website. There is a minimum of silver in the shank, and this makes it very easy to be accidentally bent, as silver is a soft metal. The gold plate appears to be pretty thin because the silver colour shows through the plating.
I gave the ring three stars because the sapphires
are gorgeous. I don't understand why a jeweller would waste these beautiful stones on such a flimsy ring. Especially since Bob Wyman says that this particular mine is mined out.
I just don't get it.
If you're a woman who is only planning to wear this ring for special occasions when you're not doing anything taxing with your hands, give it a whirl: but don't expect it to last. Other than that, don't waste your money.
I'm the kind of person who likes to put a ring on in the morning and wear it all day: this is not a
ring that matches my lifestyle, and I won't make that mistake again.
This was my first and probably last purchase from
Generations 1912. I sent the ring back the same day.

Read the review that the sapphires were appraised as CZ so I called the head office and they assured me that they are as advertised sapphires. They are sending me a written appraisal of the ring to confirm. Actually left a phone message and received an e-mail the next day. Great service.

Been looking at this ring for a long time and finally realized why the attraction. I have a green and blue silk scarf in the same colour combination that I have kept for years and years and still love it. The blue sapphires are a beautiful blue (not black) and the green enamel work is striking. The only negative comment I have is that the silver at the bottom of the ring is very very thin. Reminds me of the thin rings you see in antique stores that have been worn down to almost nothing. Not sure if this ring will survive the test of time. I definitely would not have paid the full price because of this but at this bargain price I am keeping it. Also, I am concerned about one of the comments that the white sapphires are cz. I may get in touch with Generations 1912 and ask them to send me their appraisal.

The sapphires are large, sparkly and clear.
I ordered the red enamel which is
a beautiful,shiny candy apple shade.
The silverwork is nicely detailed.

As a follow up to my previous review, I didn't notice until later that the white sapphires were appraised as cz. Disappointing, but my sister still loves the ring. I returned the red enamel ring that I'd ordered for myself. Although the white stones are small, they are not as advertised.

I have the red and the green enamel rings. They have very nice royal blue sapphires. The only thing I did not like is that the first and the last stones lie next to the red or the green enamel so that the stones reflect the color of the enamel. So in the case of the red enamel, the stones would be pinkish or look like tinged with pink. I wish there was a thin silver separating the enamel from the stone. The ring is a real beauty though. I received a cheque for Christmas & the only stipulation was that I buy rings with the money. I loved this ring from generations 1912 when I first saw it but didn't want to spend the money. When I saw that it was on sale, I just had to have it. It's beautiful. So happy that I bought it.

I bought the ring in the green and in the red colour. I liked them both but I will return the red as I ordered a size bigger not knowing which size would fit better. The quality of the blue saphire is really good. The ring is very nice especially that the enamel is very well made. This is one of the many rings that I got from Generations 1912 and not the last one for sure. I am always very pleased when I buy jewellery from Bob the quality,the design and the workmanship is always the best. I am very happy that I decided to get this ring as it is really beautiful.Thanks TSC for the great price !

I purchased the green and blue for a Christmas gift for my mum and she loves it.

I was asked to buy another one for my mum's friend and I did; she loves it as well.

I would have given 5 stars but the box, presentation, is shabby. I highly recommend that the shopping channel invest in better gift boxes for their customers.

This ring lays flat on the finger and is comfortable to wear. The design is beautiful and the enameling is perfect. Great value for the price paid.
