I purchased this ring in the gold plate size 8. I think this is one of the most beautiful rings I have seen from Generations 1912. It is not a huge ring but I do not find it delicate. It is a nice size and fits comfortable on my finger. The iolite are the most beautiful blue/purple ink colour. It looks truly vintage as if it was passed down from my grandmother. I love it and would give it 5*+!

I am very pleased with this ring. It is not too delicate, but not too chunky either. The iolite stones are big and beautiful and so sparkly. They are deep purplish blue and they look like a high quality tanzanite. I ordered a size 7 and it seems a little smaller than that, but it still fits. The sapphires are small, but it makes no difference because the ring is stunning.

Beautiful, delicate, however......
from Dartmouth, N.S.
Ordered my usual Sz. 6, very good fit, in the gold plate as I have a number of blue stones in silver.I found the workmanship to be well done and apart from one tiny corner of a side stone, they were all very well matched. The ring is very tasteful, delicate and sweet. Many things ladies are looking for. However, like Joan in Calgary the ring looked very dull upon arrival so I took the jewellery cloth to it, but it made no difference. As a rule I jump at any chance to buy Iolite but for me the ring was just too small for my hand, had no sparkle and just didn't impress me enough to keep it.Sadly, I am returning it but it may be someone else's treasure. At the reduced price, it is well worth the purchase if you like small, delicate and dainty.

Dull and washed out.
I have ordered a few pieces from Generations 1912 and loved them. This ring, however, was a disappointment. The ring just looked dull. The stones were lifeless. It took me about 4 seconds before deciding to send this back.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

great summer showstopper

I wear it everyday. Beautiful look on and has great comfort too. I love the workmanship and detail but the white sapphires are hard to see or I would have given it a 5+. Different style and Iolite is wonderful in this ring. So different than the typical rings and the setting is high enough without catching or bumping against anything. I am very happy with it.

I have returned this ring because I felt that the colour was washed out and looked like the less expensive colour of tanzanite and not the deep purple/blue of iolite. Also the finish was rough against my fingers. I have ordered from Generations 1912 before and been very satisfied unfortunately, not this time. I will order again but probably from the gold line.
