14K Gold Oro Vita Chain

Way to fragile. Broke after minimal use. Could not recommend.

I've had gold chains for 40yrs & this is the most beautiful one, everr. So sparkly & light..BUT wayyyy too fragile. I HATE to give up & probably won't. I just returned my 2nd chain; luckily(or not),it broke within the month. I am not active; never gets 'caught', etc. I got the 24" & wish it was all one piece, to go over my head. I will consult my jeweller before I buy my last one. Perhaps he can solder all the joining pieces at clasp. Would never put anything on it; have another shorter chain for that.

Ken from Ammolite complimented the chain, on his shows. TSC uses it to display pendants. I wonder if they have same problem, especially since items are 'on & off' so frequently during shows!!

I bought the 36 inch chain and I doubled it up to make a 18 in chain which is very nice and ok for pendants if you want a stronger chain. Beautiful sparkle and it is real gold not plated which is not a bad price. As a single chain it is delicate and you have to handle it with care.

I purchased two of the lengths hoping to wear them together but they tangle too easily. I've had my chains for months now and have worn the 24 inch one with a pendant on it 24 hours a day for at least 3 months with no problems. It is a thinner chain so you should be careful.

I bought this chain as a gift and was surprised to see how fragile it was when it arrived. It is a very pretty chain and I will warn the person it is going to that it needs to be treated with extra care. The piece is beautiful and catches the light. I doubt it is strong enough to carry a pendant but as a simple chain it is very nice. I did not have the problem of it being tangled. It is Italian which is a point in it's favour. If I was to recommend this to a friend I would do so cautiously with a warning about it's faults.

The first time I wore this chain it broke! I had a cross on it and I almost lost it. It was just past the 30 days and I called the Shopping Channel and they agreed to replace it. I sent mine back and received a replacement which I have yet to wear. Although it is very pretty, I worry that it will break again and I do not know if the Shopping channel will exchange it a second time.

This is an update to my previous review. Despite all attempts to be extremely careful with the weak clasp, the end loop fell off. The jeweller could not repair it. I like the look but there's no point keeping it, so I returned it. Good thing I kept the packaging. Folks, there is indeed a limit to the good prices for jewellery at the Shopping Channel.

I bought the 18" white gold chain and liked the sparkle and lightness. I think it was too light as it broke at the spring ring the 3rd time I wore it. After the 30 days were up. I don't think I will purchase from this line again.

The sparkle is the best thing about this inexpensive gold necklace. It was thinner than expected, but I did not have the tangling issue encountered by other customers. The packaging was good, and I will keep that original packaging for storage. I was concerned that it would get tangled in my hair (shoulder length) but the link is smooth enough that this hasn't happened.

The clasp is tiny and flimsy, requiring a very gentle touch. This is one of the few products that I would not recommend to a friend because, with normal handling, this chain probably won't last. In this day and age, most people don't have the time to baby their jewellery.

We bought 2 of these chains in white gold and yellow gold. I loved all of them. They sparkle in the light and are not heavy. I find them to be quite beautiful and very fragile. If you are careful with them they will last forever. Thank you Shopping Channel for another SPENDID GOLD Showstopper.
