Guillaume Washable Suede Casual Chic Jacket

I ordered this jacket in the red. It is a beautiful color, is a soft touch and the fit is okay but I have returned it. It looked fine front on but stuck out in the back. It almost seemed to be shaped with the waist short and so flared out too high. When I lowered it off my shoulders some, it wasn't too bad. I am not long waisted so that was not the problem. I would recommend it if a fit problem such as this, didn't matter to you but I am a seamstress and it just didn't lay to my standards.

When I received the jacket I was so happy, until I tried it on. There seems to be a problem with the cut on the jacket. The upper arm and the crossback are very tight and the jacket falls in a V at the front, with the cross shoulder at the front being large. I think I got a true cutting error. I was very disappointed, since this is the only jacket from Guillame that I have had to return. I hope he does another yellow jacket, Please.

This is a super jacket. I bought one in the red and the colour is wonderful. I will be using it for 3 seasons per year.

As always with Guillaume, the quality of the workmanship is excellent and the tailoring makes this jacket very figure flattering while keeping it a comfortable and moderately casual jacket.

There are two tiny issues which I would flag but which ultimately did not affect my overall rating of this garment:
1. button holes are small and difficult to manipulate; this problem may however go away as the jacket loses its "new" character and becomes more pliable.
2. this jacket fits a TINY bit smaller than other Guillaume garments I have bought. The size small fits me fine, but it is not as roomy as my last Guillaume purchase in the same size.

All the same, I love this jacket and I predict it will be a wardrobe staple. Another winner from Guillaume!!

I bought this jacket in green as a showstopper - beautiful colour and a great price. The suede is soft and and the fit is very good. The only negative is the odour, which I have found with other Guillaume suede jackets. I have several Guillaume jackets which I enjoy wearing, but initially I have had to hang them separately until the odour dissipates. Perhaps this is a bi-product of a cheaper leather garment. The odour disappears in time.

The back & top 2/3 of the jacket fit really well, but the bottom 1/3 of the front stuck out at a funny angle. When I laid the jacket flat, I discovered that the front was several inches wider than the back...not sure if the garment was designed that way, or if it is a "construction problem", but that would explain why it wasn't laying right across the bottom front.
For this reason, I had to return the jacket. It's too bad, because I really liked everything else about it.
