H2O Mop X5 Elite 5-in-1 Steam Cleaner with Accessories

I bought mine to replace a clunky, cannister model Shark product which left streaks everywhere. In comparison, this one is a few steps up. I wonder if the other negative review comments about streaks is due to using too high a steam setting? I found the same thing until I turned down the dial that controls the steam output & that solved the problem. I like the swivel head design & the accessories for cleaning tight spots. I also love being able to give the sink drains a blast of steam. The negative features are the flimsy handle & the fact that tsc doesn't carry the additional cleaning pads. Otherwise, I use it regularly & enjoy not having to use harsh chemicals.

This steamer is like a wish that never comes true. Has all the so-called bells and whistles, but in fact, is a non-performer. I like the design; it moves easily around the floor and the hard-to-reach areas around the toilet, but not once did I have a streak free finish. The kitchen floor which has dark ceramic showed every stroke the steamer made and no evaporation erased them, so it was back to a going-over with a micro fibre mop.
The bathroom floor cleaned nicely but also with streaks which were acceptable because of the whiteness of the tile.
All the other jobs we did were simply not worth the trouble.
I think I was secretly hoping that the power of the steam would actually lift away some light surface grime in my carpets, but it didn't.

I can't recommend this.

I bought this as a showstopper hoping it would clean my oven and baby items such as a car seat and high chair.

My oven is only 3 years old and not that dirty, but our smoke detectors are very sensitive so if there is any smoke at all from the oven (from any spill or build up) the detectors go off. I thought this would be better to use than the chemicals I currently use. Maybe I was doing something wrong but I tried and tried, and it hardly made a difference (and the oven isn't that dirty). It certainly didn't clean the way they showed on TV.

I found it just made the baby items wet, and I wasn't convinced it was sanitizing.

Because this product didn't work as well as I had hoped on the oven, I sort of gave up.

I returned mine. I want a steam cleaner and will continue to look for one that works better than this did.

I found the mop handle too thin and flimsy, almost as if it was going to snap. I was afraid to put pressure on the mop. The power of the steam was very good and did a great job .. but as i said im afraid its going to snap

If you can make the handle a little stronger and thicker I would definitely buy one.

The mop is just ok. I found that it was flimsy. I purchased this for my mother and she found it hard to move back and forth. She was worried that it would snap. It does clean the floor. It would have be nice to have more pads to clean with.

I've only used it twice so far on floors. It does a good job but so did the older model. The only issue I have with this model is the power cord. It's not very flexible and it's heavier than the mop itself.

I am a confessed cleaning product junkie. In the 37 years since leaving home for university and cleaning for myself I have tried every product that promised to clean better and make my life easier. The problem was, the products smelled awful, were expensive and didn't perform as promised. So,I was hesitant about purchasing yet another cleaning product but I'm glad I did.

After trying it, I could not believe how sparkling clean our shower stall was, how the steam and pressure lifted the ground in dirt from the base of the sliding glass doors or got into those little areas normally reserved for an old toothbrush. Fantastic and fun, if you let it be.

My only complaint is that this is not a product I will use everyday. I am now physically disabled and the machine can be awkward. I would also like to know where some of the other attachments can be purchased.

I honestly don't know what perfection people are looking for in a cleaning product. I for one am tired of scrubbing. So, steam on!

Had H20 mop before and found it to be better built than this one. The handle on this is fairly flimsy, but does a good job on my floors. I just have to be careful to not push too hard. Was better built on their old model. Cleaned the mirrors and windows well too, but you have to wear the "saddle" when you do those to keep both hands free, otherwise impossible to do. All in all a fair mop but not really worth changing all attachments to get jobs done. Presentation made it seem better than it is but does a great job on the floors.

This unit it is terrific on my old tired looking lino floors and gave them new life but on everything else I tried it on, for get about it! Nothing but a watery mess and makes more work for me that just using my normal cleaner!

It will not ever clean the grease off of your stove!! EVER! I used 2 tanks of water on just the top part of my stove by the knobs and dials and they were still dirty! The little brush turns to mush with excess steam! 1/2 hour later, with sore arms, I just sprayed my cleaner and wiped it off in 2 seconds!

DO NOT use it to sanitize your bed or carpets unless you have 3 hours or better for it to dry! PLUS the fact that to actually sanitize you have to have it, the mop, on bust and hold it in each place for 10 to 15 seconds!(Who's got that kind of time?) That puts a gross amount of water into your bed or carpets!!! Never mind the tanks of water used, it would take a life time to do a king size bed and then maybe days to dry!!!

They/TSC, neglects to tell us that you can't clean your windows in cool/cold weather or they may break! (They may break in warm weather too!)

They don't tell you that it could totally ruin your hardwood floors! (Well sealed laminates only!)

Will I keep it? Yes, my lino has never looked so nice although I have NOT taken the time to actually sanitize every inch!

Recommend? NO! (For all the other reasons I stated! Life is too short to have to take 30 minutes just to sanitize PART of a toilet! LOL!)
