Mcfee anitvirus program

from Toronto

I bought this computer sometime back and extreamely happy with it. Had no problem from day one.
My only concern is that it advertised a lifetime Mcfee antivirus protection and after 3 months the computer is prompting me to buy extra protectin as my intial protection has expired.

Firstly let me say that the Shopping Channel service and shipping was 5 star!

The computer if it were possible would receive zero stars

This computer leaves a lot to be desired. I purchased it in August 2014 and it is the worst computer I have ever had in 25 years. It is S L O W!

I have had several lengthy calls to HP Tech support and they have tried to rectify the speed/freezing issues(thanks TSC for including HP tech support- it has proved to be essential). I was told yesterday that the processor is not very big and it will not (followed by a hasty "may not" after they realised I was incredulous) run multiple programmes at the same time without considerable strain on the system.

I am not a gamer, nor do I run Excel or labour intensive programmes on this system. I do however like to shop online and sometimes have 2-3 websites open that have graphics at the same time, or alternately watch a video linked through Facebook. These types of activity renders my new computer almost useless as my computer freezes while the pages slowly load

Do yourself a favour and stay clear of this system. It is a dud. Oh one more thing, you cannot fix the problem by upgrading the processor as it is "un-upgradeable"

Like the PC but not the security aspect

By Jordhana

from Sudbury

There's only one thing that drives me crazy about this PC and that's having to punch in my security code literally every 30 seconds. I realize that it's supposed to help you but I live alone and no one else goes on the PC but me. I've tried everything..even got a computer tech to look at it but he says there's nothing you can do but go with it cause that's ingrained in the computer itself, so that sucks. Other than than I like the computer and the printer.
