I like them

By JOYCE

from SHELBURNE

I work with horses and when I need to take off a halter or whatever taking the top down is great. No need to remove the gloves and it's quick. The quality is good and I will get them again. I have purchased them for other people for christmas gifts and they love them also.

Zero stars if I could

My first review didn't show here for some reason. I am so disappointed in these gloves that I had to make sure my review gets printed. I wouldn't want any more of us to make this purchase mistake.
Cynthia (Jane)said it perfectly. I agree with everything she said, expect that you do not need to be outside regularly to deem this gloves useless. The thumb slit topped the cake - your skin is exposed! Fingers have flimpsy fabric coverage. Useless, useless, useless and back they went.

not happy

By loves the shopping channel

I bought these as a gift for my son as he walks to work every morning but they are not warm and cold air comes in through the thumb opening. I am in Western Canada where the weather is not extreme so I can't imagine this product being useful to anyone living out east or anywhere where it's bitter cold. Sorry this didn't match my expectations.

The gloves are well made and I like the concept Mitten/glove. They do keep me warm.

Cynthia (Jane) said it all perfectly!!
The only thing I would say is these mitts are useless even if you don't spend a lot of time outdoors. The slits in the thumbs were almost laughable. Your skin is totally exposed. Thoroughly dissatisfied and pretty disappointed that TSC would even offer. Please have some respect for your customers. Back they went.

Not Warm Enough

By IRENE

from MINDEN

The concept of a convertible glove is great, however; these gloves are not warm enough for winter weather--okay for driving. The finger hole edges are not finished (being a person who sews--I always look at the finishing on items). Also, there is no overlap on the thumb piece--if you wear the glove as a mitt--cold air gets in. The quality does not match the price.

Not too warm

By Dorothy

These gloves may be ok for driving but certainly not for out in the cold weather. The only thing on the hand that really get cold are the fingers and there is nothing in this glove to keep them warm. I wore them one day outside when the temperature was plus 1 and my fingers were very cold. I sent them back.

A real disappointment

Helpful Reviewer

A number of years ago when it was first shown on TSC, I ordered the Hot Gear hood and was really pleased with it. With this in mind, I recently ordered these gloves, which I wore for just one day and am returning them today.

I have a small pet sitting business and spend most of the day outdoors so need something to keep my hands warm - these gloves don't even keep my hands as warm as my unlined suede gloves and winter has barely begun.

Firstly, although most of the gloves are double fabric including the cuff which is well covered by your sleeve, the most important part - the part that keeps your fingertips warm - is only single fabric. There is no way of anchoring it - the last pair of similar gloves I used had velcro to keep the mitt part attached to the glove part so no cold air could get in. In addition, there are slits in the thumb, presumably to be able to poke your thumb through if necessary, but the edges don't even meet, never mind overlap. So ... although the presentation showed us how the wind (as represented by a high power air blower of some sort) could not get through the fabric, the various openings in the glove itself can mean that bare skin is exposed to the cold air. These glove/mitts might be fine for someone who is not outdoors regularly but for someone like myself who spends up to eight hours a day outdoors, they are completely useless.

Nice pair of gloves

By Karen

I thought the gloves were a nice, the only thing i was disappointed was the palm of the glove, it did not grip anything, so I when wear the gloves when i drive, they don't grip the steeling wheel..... Despite that issue, the gloves were nice and warm for every day use.
