Lovely and Durable Bag
I purchased this some time ago in the purple/plum colour. I love it. I do pack a lot in my purse/bag. While I take care of my bags, I do expect them to be durable enough to handle my "life". The pebble leather is more soft than maybe some expect, but I personally have no issue with that. Sometimes a bag that is too stiffly constructed is awkward to get in and out of. I find this bag is supple enough to manoeuvre my hands around inside of it and get things in and out. I also like that it is not overly heavy because I tend to pack too much and I don't need to start out with a heavy bag. My bag is stitched well and sturdy and the zippers all work just fine without catching or getting stuck. I don't care to put my bags on the floor, even if they have "feet" because the feet will get yukked up just like the bottom of purse will if it had no feet. Yes, I would recommend this to others and I am going to purchase the blue one for my girlfriend who loves my purple one!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I wanted this bag to travel but delayed in ordering it. I really regretted that and when I got home I ordered it and am not disappointed. I use this everyday now and can organize my things including taking an extra diaper and wipes or sweater. I like the back zippered pocket for my cell phone, it is so accessible. I have been wearing it both cross-body and hand-held. I find the leather very sturdy and am sure that it will last a long time. The zippers all run smoothly. The design is well thought out and the inside extra zipper pocket is great for privacy and security. I purchased this in the camel so that it would go with any outfit but I really would like a winter colour too. Once you find a style that works for you its worth getting more than one..

I had been eyeing this bag's style from the first Hey's introduction of their line to TSC. The main features I look for in purchasing is the style of the bag; the size is extremely important; the security features, and its construction. I picked this purse for its' great dimensions. Other than an evening bag, whether my purse is for every day, or for travel, there are specific items that I want in my bag. This bag seemed to have what specifications I look for. The dimensions are a great size (14L x 9H x 5D with a 5" drop satchel handle), with good quality functioning zippers, split compartments, strong handles, and the ability to wear, should one wish to change it, to a shoulder bag, cross-body, or satchel (which is my personal preference.) Where my disappointment came was in was the actual construction of the bag. The leather was a very soft pebble, seemingly not sturdy enough to hold the design of the purse. But the sewing of the seams were very poorly done. They did not hold its shape, and puckered around not only the corners, but also along the straight seams of the bag. It is difficult to describe, but an additional piece of leather was attached from the seam edges the zippers on both side to help with the width I assume. This is where the leather needed the structure to hold the piece inserted straight with no soft bulges or puckers. The inside of the bag was nicely done, with separate compartment, and strong zippers. A pet peeve I have when it comes to zippers is when the manufacturer has the end of the zipper left unfinished, and hanging like a tail. By it not being sewn in, there is a gapping hole for smaller items to easily fall out. Such is not the case with this Heys bag. I am very disappointed for this was not a slouching style of bag. One does not have to have a framed bag to have a good solid and sturdy bag. I also ordered the St. Tropez in the very dark slate blue. The leather used looks virtually identical to the Prada Saffiano Leather which holds its shape and boy, can it take great wearing. I do hope Heys does not discontinue this style of bag but change the leather and tweak the stitching. I am also not so fond of such high-polished gold hardware on a bag. The more of a high polish, the more scratches it takes and I find it cheapens the look of the bag. A more muted tone of hardware, be it silver, gold, or brass is a more sophisticated look, especially long-term. There are also no feel on the bottom of this bag. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this bag as is now.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Not a good travel bag!
I've been looking for the "perfect" travel bag for a long time now, unfortunately I'm still looking. It's a great looking bag, nice leather, hardware etc. however everyone puts their bag on the ground when travelling and there's no protective feet, but worse than that the bag loses it's shape (even when empty, the leather is just too soft to suit the purpose of this bag. There's no structure to the bag, definitely not suitable for travelling. Will be returning the bag. Very disappointed!
