I got a crooked one :(

Silverwork is impeccable, as usual with H. Gems.
BUT: the stone has a noticeable flaw into it. It is as if someone had taken a slice of the top of the cabochon (it is polished all over, so it's not like it had broken previously). Now I could live with a "plateau" on top of the stone if it was done horizontally, so to speak. In this case, the "plateau" is inclined at 45 degrees. You can see it, you can feel it when you touch it. My bad for wanting this ring so much that I dared purchasing the very last size 9 available. No wonder it was the last one – it must have been returned by several customers before me, for that very reason. It's the first time I encounter such a mess with quality control in this line, and I own quite a lot of their otherwise wonderful pieces.
I sent an email to Himalayan Gems on March 6, asking if there were anything they could do about it. I never received an answer, not even an automated one. Talk about their alleged 'lifetime warranty' on their products – you can take it with a big pinch of salt.
The silver work is 5 stars. This particular stone: 1 star. So all in all an average 3 star rating.
I would recommend it to a friend, providing that the stone meets the high standards Himalayan Gems usually has.
