Holiday Memories Pre-Lit Instant Shape Christmas Tree with On/Off Foot Pedal & Tree Storage Bag

I had only read the reviews after I ordered the tree and thought OH NO bad choice but decided to wait and see since the Shopping Channel has an awesome return policy. It arrived a few days ago and literally took 5 minutes to set up. I spent more time cutting off tags etc then setting it up. I am SOOOOO glad I did not get spooked by the negative reviews. This is a keeper and fits perfectly in the corner of our living room. The absolute correct height for our 8 foot ceilings. Again the Shopping Channel has not disappointed me..

I'm not at all happy with this product. It doesn't look as full as the one they showed during the presentation. Having bought it in late October, by the time I put it up in December the 30 day guarantee had run out. It worked fine (lights) for the first week but a few nights ago the top section lights started flickering. By last night they'd completely gone out. Waiting to hear if the Shopping Channel is going to help me with this issue. Not at all pleased with this product.

Tree went together very easily and looked great when it was decorated.The five foot size is just perfect for our apartment.

The tree I recieved does'nt look at all like the one that is pictured. It does not fall into place in a matter of minutes, you have to pull on the branches to get them down. Also, there are so many visiable wires, not well put together at all. There is no coding as per the instruction sheet, and as if these problems were'nt enough, the tree wobbles. Really wish the shopping channel would do the right thing and have the vendor recall this item as it is not at all how it was described. Won't be shopping from this vendor anymore.

Okay, so if you have a product that is 'ready to decorate in 5 minutes'as the tag that came with the tree boasts, then you had better make sure that that really is the case.I purchased the 9 foot tree at the Showstopper price because our house has high ceilings,and the old 7 foot one that we had been using for a dozen years was beginning to look old and tired.
First of all, there were no coloured bands as promised to guide us, coupled with an aweful, poorly photocopied instruction guide that was little help. The pictures illustrated were dark grey blobs. The cords holding each section together are fuzzy pine-coated ties, and it took quite a while to find the ends and twist them apart. It would have been very helpful if they had been differently-coloured, so that they would have been more obvious. However, we managed to figure that all out (it took 3 of us), and put it together. Connecting all of the extension cords was challenging because the instructons were so poor, and some of the 'A' tags were missing. All in all, it took us more than an hour to put the tree together--hardly the '5 minutes' that was promised.
Once the tree was put together, I have to say that it is very nice--quite full, and the lights were, for the most part, where they are supposed to be. It did turn on right away, so we had no issues with that or the foot pedal, which works fine. I am satisfied with the new tree, although I am not looking forward to trying to squish it into the poor-quality tree bag that came with it--I think I will have to spring for another one, and split it into 2 bags.
All in all, I quite like the tree, and it is nicer than our old one. However, there are some obvious disconnects between how it is supposed to be constructed and how it really is. If you don't mind a challenge, then the end results are fine, and the price is reasonable as a Showstopper.

I received my second tree this week and put it together tonight. I say second, because although I was impressed with the fast delivery of my first tree, when I opened it I also saw that there were no coloured bands. These bands were clearly seen and referenced several times in the trees' instruction manual for assembling and disassembling. I called and was offered a replacement...great!! I received the second and found it also didn't have bands, but put it together anyway. When I called to ask about them, I was told they were not included. When I referred to the manual, I was told it was a misprint. Two misprints?? What about all the other reviews??? As an infrequent buyer, I was not impressed with the service given for this purchase.

I am not sure what happened to everyone else, but I seem to be lucky. My 9 ft tree looks just like the one in the picture. Yes, it is true that there is not colour coding as promised, and yes the branches come fairly tangled with the wires for the lights, but it does assemble into a full, high quality looking tree.

Originally we took it out and put together just to see if we would need to return it. It did look like it would need some adjusting and fluffing of the branches but we figured we would wait until we were ready to decorate. Within a period of a day or two, we came to realize that most of the branches settled into place on their own, and at no point was it ever sparse enough to see light through. That, in my books, makes it far superior to any of our store bought trees in years past. We also found the thickness and strength if the branches to be superior.

Now that it is decorated, it is perfect!

I would recommend this purchase, however not at regular price. The value is more in line with the Showstopper pricing we had paid.

I ordered the 5 foot tree, there was no colour coded bands to help with the set up and what I thought was the bottom of the tree was actually the middle.
The branches did not fall into place. When I watched the show, the description of the branches didn't state that there were actually two types of branches, the soft plastic ones that they mention and the itcy green turf like ones. The branches were stuck in the cords of the lights. The wires of the lights are clearly visable from the other side of the room.
On my tree, the plug of the lights that plug into each other were broken, meaning the green cases were off and the gold prongs were out of the socket. I had to perform my own fix just to get the tree to light up. I will likely be sending this back for a refund.

I have ordered MANY items/products from TSC and this tree is very disappointing. Not at all what is shown and/or explained. The box had been previously opened, the pieces did not have bands holding it together, the top piece does not match the rest of the tree. Top piece is full.. as shown but the rest of the tree looks like a "Charlie Brown Tree" It did not fall into place as described and needed a lot of fluffing and positioning and filling in with ornaments. The ONLY reason I did not send it back was because I was having a family get together/party and I needed a tree. I am VERY disappointed and I think it should be replaced by TSC free of charge to the tree I ordered BEFORE I send this one back..

Recently purchased the 5ft tree,and much to my dismay the branches did not fall into place as illustrated.It was very difficult to untangle the branches which were entwined with the lights.

There were no coded or coloured bands,and the middle section & bottom section are the same size & width.The foot pedal cord is not long and does not touch the floor.

Over-priced and poor workmanship.
