Great in a pinch
from Vaughan Ontario
This steamer is great in a pinch. I was able to steam two shirts. It heats up pretty quickly.

smal little steamer
It is smaller than the picture but it does the job for small load. I would say it is good for travelling more than household item.

Like my steamer. It works well. You don't necessarily see the steam so be careful where you put your hand! This product would be ideal for a single person as it will do 3 or 4 garments before needing a refill. Takes less than a minute to heat up. I have used it four or five times and love the results.(Steamer is also handy for knitters for blocking finished products.)

I would buy this product again
from EAST YORK
Well I quite like the little steamer and it has performed very well for me; I've had no sputtering and have enough steam to do two or three garments which works for me as a single person. For a family, you would probably require a larger unit. It takes up very little space to store and I like having the bag to store it in. For the money it cost, I think in my case it has been well spent.

I purchased this steamer recently and tried it for the first time yesterday. It really does heat up within seconds and did a great job. You have to watch though as it goes through the water very fast. I bought a red one to match the red luggage scale that I bought last fall. It works great too!
I think for the price, this is a good buy. It's compact so therefore the output isn't terribly strong, but that's the sacrifice for compactness. The body of the steamer doesn't get hot at all and I can even hold it while it's boiling away.I wouldn't recommend heating up drinking water in this, even though it's tempting. Who knows what metal covering the heating element is composed of - it discolours after the first use and to me, not in the way that I've seen stainless steel do.I'm impressed by the storage bag. I thought it'd be some cheap-o, thin vinyl thing but it's thicker than I thought. I'll probably end up using it as my toiletry bag when I travel.

Not worth manufacturing
I would give it a "no star". This is an absolute useless instrument. I can't believe the manufactures really took the time and effort to produce this. I didn't fill it to the top and it still sputters out water and it looks like a boiling kettle and the steam is over in a matter of a few minutes. It is not worth the $19 reduced price. It's worth about $1.99 at most. This is my worst purchase with the Shopping Channel.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bought this quite some time ago and the price was certainly reasonable then--so even better for those buying it on sale now. Perfect for touch ups on blouses and pants!

I guess I got the dud ... again
After seeing all the positive reviews I can only assume that I got the one 'dud' (as usual). Yes it heats up quickly but that is all I can say that is positive. For me, it did not remove wrinkles very well, I had to keep going over the same area too many times with little results. Plus it kept spitting/leaking water over my clothes.

Perfection in a Palm
from Mississauga, ON
I ordered this handheld steamer in blue to match my Hurricane Spin Mop (LOL). Let me tell you, it works better than commercial steamers back in my retail days. It heats up super fast and emits a fair bit of steam, so be careful when your pets or children are around. Did a great job getting the wrinkles out of the curtains; who wants to pull them down and iron--not me! An improvement would be if this unit had rubber protection on the part of the steamer that your knuckles rubs against, for added safety and not to burn your skin. Otherwise, no complaints!
