JVC HD Pocket Camcorder

We bought this little gem as a showstopper last summer, and my wife won't let it out of her sight.
Having never been much of a photo / video taker in the past, she now carries her "buddy" in her purse at all times, and is always stopping to take something somewhere, lol.
She went off to England and France last fall, and came back with over 1200 great photos. The only thing I did was to purchase a separate charge cord as she didn't take her laptop to Europe.
The only complaint I have is that we didn't buy two as I never get my hand on "her buddy".

We bought this great little camcorder as a showstopper, and it lives up to everything as advertised - an easy-to-use camcorder that fits in my shirt pocket or my wife's purse, so that it is ready to use when we want it...oh yeah, it takes great videos too!

I wrote a review before this won't but TSC didn't add it for some reason. I bought this camera looking for quality but all I got was disappointment. Fuzzy photo quality, wind cut didn't work, and the Loiloscope program was horrible. Save your money. Returned it for a refund.

This is a great little product for the price I paid, It serves it's purpose for quick simple video recording, and what I liked as well is it records decent in low lighting. I have no complaints!

Bought this for the classsroom and the students / staff love the simplicity. Easy, compact and fun. Good value for your money.
As others say, cards are cheap to buy and charging couldn't be easier. Go strapless.

Love this little guy, yes it didn't come with a strap which is weird, but it works great and made upload to facebook very easy for me. As far a charging it goes can't get any easier then when you plug it into your computer. For the price it was a great deal as a showstopper and SD cards are cheap when they are on sale. I just got a sandisk 16 for $25 at [...]...

I just received my Picsio the other day and I've had a chance to use it. I think it's a fun little camcorder that is pocket size and very easy to use. One commenter complained about the touch screen being hard to use. There is an option to adjust the sensitivity of the touch screen in the Settings menu. I used it and its fine now. It has a built in USB connector, so you don't need to buy anything extra to charge it, as it charges off your computer. Most people today have SD cards in the house, and I used the one I had in my camera and it works fine. It has nice little options to change how you want to record, such as black and white filming and is easy to access. Uploading to YouTube is really easy. The only drawback is that I'm finding Loilascope hard to use, but it may get easier with practice. In camera mode, when using the zoom, the picture does become a bit grainy, but regular pictures are perfect and clear. When recording, the viewing area on the screen is small, but can be seen okay and in playback, it uses the whole 3 inch screen. The volume in playback is amazing! I had to turn it down it was so loud! I think its a good camcorder for what I paid and I will be keeping it.

I too bought this as the showstopper [...] I thought the quality was good for the money paid. It is a very slick and light camera/camcorder. The fact it didn't come with a strap was annoying because it is hard to find one that will fit. It doesn't say it comes with an sd card.....so that was fair. I bought an 8gb for $21. I like reading the instuctions so had to go online to view them. My son who is 10 picked it up and immediately started to figure it out...playing with the special effects etc. You charge it by plugging it into your computer so that wasn't a problem....I feel most people who buy this would also have a computer so charging this camera is really not an issue. If you want the camera with a strap and an sd card you could buy up as TSC also carries a similar JVC device for more $ with both a strap and a memory card. Overall I was very happy with this purchase

I bought this when it was the Todays Showstopper. I was disappointed it did not come with an SD card. Also, I find the touch screen not nearly sensitive enough and the viewing part of the screen when taking pics or recording video is too small. Also, it should have come with a strap. One other thing to remember, is this does not have a lens, so when you use the zoom function, the picture is very pixilated. Overall, I expected more from JVC.

I purchased this item when TSC had their sale. One thing you must consider when you decide to purchase is that it does not come with an SD card ($25 to $40), nor does it come with a cable or charger to charge the JVC HD. So you have to incur these extra expenses. Why it doesn't come with the camcorder is not acceptable.
