Jack Lalanne Juicer

We ordered it based on watching the show...the reason we decided to get it was the claim that there was no need to peel or chop the fruit before putting it in the juicer, our current juicer required alot of prep prior to juicing...well this is the exact same, on the show they were tossing in everything...the instruction book says to peel and core all fruit to ensure the life of your machine....not better than what we already had!

Wanting to get back on track health wise we decided this was worth a try. It produces great tasting juice and, although I admit it is a bit messy and needs to be cleaned right after each use, I found by putting a plastic bag in the container for the pulp that I can just throw that out or freeze it if I want to use it. Be sure to only use fresh firm fruit as I did try older apples and they didn't process. Be sure to drink the juice as soon after processing as possible.

This unit was not the one shown on TV, all it did was make a mess by constantly dripping. Did not perform to the hype as advertised.

I had a smaller no name unit before to do my juicing and decided to finally purchase a Jack Lalanne juicer. I love it and it produces more juice than my old juicer. The large shute is great, now I don't have to cut everything smaller anymore. With all the extras you receive with this juicer, it is really worth the price!

The hosts said clean up is easy, but it is not. I quite like the juicer although it does jam every so often and I have to take the veg/fruit out and put it back in.
But it is the mess that really turns me off. There is pulp all over the machine and the counter and also the juice catcher moves easily so there is juice everywhere.
I am keeping it because I like the end result.....the juice is great, but will probably not use it every day as I had intended when I bought it.
I would reccomend it to some friends who don't mind a lot of clean up.

I followed instructions for loading and alternating different textured fruit and vegetables, and still, after adding carrots, the machine stopped working.
Will be returned, very dissatisfied
