getting alot of jade!
Didn't know that jade come in so many color so it was a nice discovery to find all these treasures. But initially I was looking for the traditional color jade that we all know but try the charcoal which I think it is nicer then other "black" stones. The jade has a hint of marble feel, not just plain black which add to its beauty. I like that it is a good size stone which showcase well in its frame ring. Like that they incorporate culture elements with the koi fish on the side, that's a nice unique touch which set apart from other stone rings. I wasn't sure if I like jade other then its traditional green but I found a new appreciation for other colors. Who don't like jade?
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is a gorgeous, extremely well-made ring!! It's the first item I've purchased from Jade of Yesteryear and I'm very impressed with the craftsmanship. It's dramatic, yet not overpowering – and even tho it's relatively large, it doesn't spin around on my finger. (I bought it in size 8 to wear on my typically-size-8 middle finger and it fits perfectly true to size.) I read many very helpful reviews on TSC (and a U.S. shopping channel) about this ring so I knew what to expect with the colours... so I purchased 4: charcoal, red, yellow, purple. I'm not a fan of pastels but I'm thinking of purchasing the green as well simply because I love the look of the ring and because green is the only selection that isn't "color-enhanced" (information which I believe Stella mentioned on-air and which is also published on the U.S. shopping channel website where this ring was also being sold). The charcoal is indeed a very deep mysterious grey with some lighter "swirls" throughout. As a previous reviewer so aptly stated, it's like a dark stormy winter sky. The "red" is a rich cinnamon-terracotta. The "purple" is a lilac shade. And the "yellow" is the colour of raw apple cider vinegar. Even though these stones are dyed, all of the colours are quite unusual and, to me, very lovely.I do have a question about provenance though... According to TSC's website, the origin of this ring is China. And, according to the U.S. shopping channel where this ring was also sold, the jadeite in this ring was "mined in China." But, from my research on jadeite, there is no gem-quality jadeite found in China... The only commercially-mined jadeite deposit is in Burma, with "Burmese jade" being another name for jadeite. Jadeite can also be found - but is not commercially mined - in Guatemala, New Zealand, Russia, British Columbia, California, and Alaska. I would like to hear Stella speak to this. And I would love to see more thorough information about gemstone jewellery on the TSC website and in the on-air presentations. Along with where the stones are mined and where the items are made, I'd like to know whether they're enhanced in any way (dyed, waxed, heat-treated, irradiated, filled with epoxy or resin, stabilized with colorless wax, oil, plastic or a hardening agent, etc.). Such information is clearly stated on the U.S. shopping channels' websites for each item and it should be available to Canadian customers on the TSC website as well.

Just received this ring in Charcoal. This workmanship is outstanding. Beautiful design in the shank and the jade is a show stopper! This is my first purchase in this line and won't be my last. This is well worth the price. Will order in other colours in my size. Thank you for the best ring I have purchased from the shopping channel.

I now have this ring in the green and my latest purchase is in the purple. What a beautiful shade of purple. Fit for royalty. I love this ring and I got it for such an awesome price. Great value.
This is my first piece of jade so I was a little worried what it would look like. I was very pleased when I opened the box. I purchased the ring in green. The colour is so soft and pretty, it will look great with my spring outfits. I adore the koi fish on the sides which makes the ring look extra special. This is definitely a keeper and I will be looking to purchase more jade in the future.

I bought this ring in the lavender jade and love the colour. The silver Koi fish with tail fin claws is great, love the setting. I get compliments on it all the time.

I purchased my koi fish ring in charcoal which I love. I wear it daily, beautiful silver work. My only wish is that it fit a bit looser like my other size 8 rings. I wear it on my index finger, but I had intended it for the middle finger. Next time I purchase from Jade of Yesteryear, I will order up,so I can wear on either fingers. Otherwise, it is exquisite in the charcoal.

I agree with the other reviewer, not for the faint of heart but, stunning nonetheless. I purchased the green jade and it has great presence on the finger and the silver work with the koi fish is so beautiful.

Ordered a purple jade and the colour is great, love the size of the ring and is a very good bang for your buck
This ring is not for the faint of heart. It is a very large ring. Mine is in the green jade. Lots of ornate silver work around the stone. I only wish the green was a little darker but I am still happy with my purchase.
