Joan Rivers Animal Print Jersey Knit Blazer

Love this blazer. Fabric is soft and quite nice. I hope it looks as nice as this after many wearings.

I bought this blazer in purple and I went one size down. It looked ok from distance, but when I put it on I was very disappointed. The lining was pulling at the back and it was kind of handing under the arms even when the jacket was buttoned up. If unbuttoned the jacket was slipping off my shoulders and I had to constantly fix it. The fabric looks cheap and flimsy to me. Returned it right away. I don't think John would wear this.
I have many pieces from Joan's line and I love them, but not this one.

I absolutely love everything about this jacket:
the material, the feel and the weight of the fa-
bric and of course the fit. I did return the first
one I had ordered because it was too big and
quickly ordered the smaller size [both in cho-
colate]. The sleeves on any garment are usually
too long on me, but this jacket being jersey can
easily be rolled up or pulled up. I also own a
raincoat by Joan which I purchased years ago and
love it. Would I recommend it to a friend.......

i did like the style of this jacket (in the grey animal print), but the reason i had to send it back was due to the small shoulder pads were sewn underneath the lining which twisted during a wash and could not be placed back where it originated. the second reason it was sent back was due to the length of the sleeves which had to be folded back which took away the look of the jacket...and thirdly, after washing and drying properly...the lining and outer material didn't lay properly, and the shape did not looking flattering. even in the small, it still was a bit oversized. i have a few jackets from Joan's line, but this one needed "tweaking" somewhat. would have liked to keep it, but due to the above mentioned problems, i decided to return same. would love to see another jacket in similar material created again with no shoulder pads and full length (not overly long) sleeves. i was told too that because the cuffs needed rolling up, etc. and uneven hemline, that it didn't look very polished.

I adore this! I have it in Animal Print (my fave) I was looking at another designer in this same print but Joan's jacket was cheaper and I have several other pieces from her collection and knew I would love this. I do, I love how soft it feels and its very comfortable to wear all day inside an office (or in my case a school). I find Joan's clothes fit big so I always order a size smaller (Large, usually I am XL) and they fit perfect with room left over :) Keep it up Joan!!!!

I have the berry (pink) and it is a very flattering colour, so is the cut and fit. It is can be worn at the office with black dress pants or be worn to a party with a skirt or jeans.
