A cape that makes any woman, specially a mature one, look very polished and chic! Good quality and design. I bought the camel colour and was very pleased when I received it. The colour is rich and goes with many other colors. A great fall ccpe.

The colour is more gold than "camel". The big problem I have is that it wrinkles like crazy and sags instantly. What I mean by that is if you place it on a hanger, you get shoulder marks, and if you fold it up or wear it in the car, it wrinkles like crazy. I've had to steam it several times, so I'm not sure it's worth all the effort for the hefty price. Argh.....
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Joan Rivers Urban Cape

I wear the cape anytime except in the summer. I like the design and colour although it is actually not quite camel. Advantage is that it is washable material which may make the texture a bit softer.I bought the cape when it was the last one and only in camel from the previous collection. I now discover that the same cape is again available in camel as well as in black. Hopefully, this cape will be for sale some time again when I am able to buy the cape in black at a future time.

nice with a wide belt also
By Canadian lady
Have already reviewed but this morning put it on again with a wide belt over the front. Changed it up a lot and looked even better. Still say this is golden though-but looks good with red. Go figure.
Colour more gold than camel
Length was fine for me at 5'3" - just to hips. Fabric is 40% wool but I will wear with a scarf so not an issue. Heavier than a sweater so great for cool days.Colour is limiting as it is not camel but rather gold - maybe just mine?Wear a 1X in tops usually but bought the missy and it is perfect.
Not long Enough!!!
from Fonthill, Ont
I should have paid better attention to the length of this cape. I like capes that are long with lots of drama. This one is just below the hip more like a capelet. I am only 5"2" so it must be meant to be shorter. The fabric and gold buttons are very nice. However, it just is not what I prefer! Sorry Joan, back it goes!!!

If you're looking for a comfortable,'different'alternative to a cardigan, it definitely fills thebill. However I have to admit I was a little disappointed in the lack of 'the finishing touchesI have come to expect with Joan Rivers fashions. The seams are all left 'raw' (though are top stiched) I think the inner seams should have had'piping' (which is usually what she does with her garments)and the bottom of the garment should bedouble hemmed - to give the bottom some weight andmore of a finished, 'polished', professional look.I have paid less for JR fashions and they've had better 'finishing'. This garment should either cost less or have 'more'.

Every time I wear this cape I get asked where I have purchased it. I bought the camel colour. I'm a huge fan of Joan Rivers fashions, I always feel one of a kind when I wear her clothes. I know wherever I go I'll be the only wearing her clothes! Hahahahaha I love it. This is a gorgeous light piece. I have purchased her tartan ape from last year as well and again I'm always standing out! Thank you Joan for your fabulous taste!
Thank you Joan as a follow up
Just so that you are aware, I just purchased another cape ( I purchased both colors) in black for my mother for Christmas. As you suggested Joan I have added a pair of very fine, long, black kid gloves and a evening bag ( gold in a damask pattern). This cape is such a classic I just know she will love this as much as I do.Thank you once againReener
Wool cape by Joan Rivers
from NORTH YORK
I absolutely loved this cape from the moment I saw it on television, and even now when I wear it out over a turtleneck and jeans. It is really classy-looking and very stylish, yet age appropriate at the same time. I bought mine in "camel" and the only reason I am giving it four stars is because the fabric is quite itchy to just have on my neck, so I do need to wear it over a turtleneck, thus restricting the versatility of this garment. Also, the colour described as "camel" is actually a mustard hue. Aside from that, I love the style of it and I am going to order the black one as well. Thank you to Joan for understanding what women really want in terms of dressing with style and sophistication.
