This set is slinky and snuggly all at the same time. Very well-made and an extraordinary deal! As for the fit, I'd say it's more than a little relaxed. So, if you're in the middle of two sizes, I'd go down a size. I'm usually a small on the verge of medium; I purchased this set in small and it still feels a wee bit too large but, for lounging, it's pretty perfect. The one I have is black - a very deep true black.

One thing that's somewhat odd but not a big deal is that the nap seems to be "upside-down." Because it's so soft, I find myself constantly stroking the fabric but, when I'm wearing the set, I have to "stroke up" for a smooth feel. If I "stroke down," it feels like I'm going against the grain. Like I said, not a big deal. Just odd.

Finally, this set is great for wearing around the house - whether in the presence of others or when you just feel like luxuriating on your own. But, to wear it out of the house, for me it would have to be more fitted - otherwise it looks too much like the loungewear that it is!

I would definitely recommend this slinky, snuggly set to virtually any woman from her 20s to her 120s.

Some ladies thought that you could wear it out in the evening -not unless it was fitted to the body.I tend not to use a lounge outfit and not finding that this was cuddly and warm like my housecoat I sent it back........

I would give it 10 stars if I could...I have a black set...please bring these back in all sizes, I had ordered another one and the order got mixed up, never received it :( I still would like to order another set... fingers crossed you bring it back. xxx

TY to the lady who described the 2 pieces! I couldn't decide from photos if this was a long nightie & nightgown; or a long nightie with short jacket. Folk who do descriptions please note that in the photos ( perhaps because it's velvet?) it's very hard to tell! I've ordered the only set in my size - I assume it's been on website a while & other colours have been snapped up.

I have this set in black and purple and am thinking about purchasing another set, particularly at this wonderful price! The set is extremely comfortable, the fabric weight allows the clothing to hang perfectly and provides enough substance that you are comfortable to ask the door without concern for your modesty. Washes beautifully. Joan, please continue to carry this set!

The purple is lovely. Very casual, which is why I ordered it for a cruse. I have found that it is very heavy, (which is a good thing), but not ao when packing a suitcase. I look very fashionable here at home.

I purchased the very rich green colour and I am so pleased will probably order the others as well.
At this reduced price, this outfit is well worth the purchase if you are looking for very comfortable and classy looking lounge wear.
