Joan Rivers Classic Houndstooth Boyfriend Shirt

I bought this shirt in the pink and black. The print is larger and the colour much brighter than I expected and my first thought was that it is too wild for my taste. However, it is very well made and the styling is beautiful. I love the pleat detail at the band of the sleeve and the gathering at the back yoke. The ribbon down the front is lovely too. The XS is a good fit for me, so I decided to keep it and have been wearing it open as a jacket. I get lots of good compliments, so maybe a little wild is ok once in a while!

I have several of Joan's boyfriend shirts. I love this classic houndstooth style. I ordered the fuchsia. I must say that this one is smaller than usual. I usually have plenty of room around but this one, I'll have to wear open. Good thing I bought the fuchsia square neck tank. They are dressy together.
As usual, I must request that the arm holes be cut larger. I wear 3X.

I ordered this shirt in both the black/white & brown/khaki combinations. The pairing of the classic houndstooth pattern with the classic boyfriend shirt styling was brilliant. The attention to detail, quality fabric & outstanding workmanship are Joan's trademarks. I'm disappointed that for the brown/khaki colour the wrong size was shipped. I've called regarding this problem, but unfortunately TSC can't accommodate an exchange because my size is now sold out.
