excellent for thin hair
I bought this from another retailer, and stumbled across it here so decided to write a review. Please TSC restock this in brunette!!I am going through cancer treatment and have very thin brown hair at the moment. This product is very easy to apply - the key is to not load the brush up with too much product. Don't tap the brush too much or store upside down or too much product will dispense. Using too much will make your hair dull and will also get it all over your bathroom. Be frugal with it, and it works amazingly well. I store it horizontally, take the cap off, retract the outer cylinder, and brush/very lightly tap it along my part, crown, and around the front of my hairline, ear to ear. Massage it in a bit with fingertips (yes, your fingers will get the powder on them). It covers my wide part and thin areas as well gives it body. I also don't have to wash it as often. It will come off on your pillowcase, so if that bothers you, I would suggest using a darker case for your pillows. It washes out very easily. I have tried the JR product as well and find this to be much easier to use, better coverage and the added benefit of a dry shampoo.Did I mention please restock in Brunette??

Works for me!
I ordered the Brunette. I found it easy to use but the instructions on the bottle are not clear. Just pull out the plastic plug and tap the bottom gently. Enough powder comes out. It does make your hair feel different but so do other root covering products. The stick I used before was much worse. I have dark brown hair and found brunette a little light. I have not noticed it coming off on hands or pillow case and it seems to last between shampoos. To close it easily, one must pull up the little ring at the base, where the lid attaches. It is the same colour as the lid and hard to notice. This retracts the brush.According to the company, there is a shelf life of 2 years after the product is opened but you should not keep it more than 1 year, before opening. I will continue to use this product.
it's usable but BEWARE!

I must say I agree with the comments here,There is no cure for thinning hair!!This is my 3rd brand from TSC and they are allMessy to put on you can't see how much comes out, you get blobs of black on the scalp, it gets allover your hands, sink and face, it's too much workalthough it does work once it's on and makes the hair thicker it's just too messy. I will just finish what I've got but still looking for a better product. PS JR product is the same, too much work!!

This product leaves the hair very dry and there is also a funny smell to it. I do not recommend this product at all.

not sure yet...

I've only tried this product once...it did cover my grey roots but my hair felt stiff and dirty. I thought I probably put too much on because I couldn't tell if it was coming out and so I kept dabbing it and then I noticed I had a lot on. I bought the brunette colour. I will try it again and see if I can get the hang of it. I'm not sure if I would recommend it although I did end up with two because of an order snafu and I'm going to give the extra one to my sister. If she has good luck with it I'll leave another review. I guess for the price it's worth a try...

Color Root Touch Up
By Naz the shopper
from Etobicoke Ont
I wanted this product to work since it is all natural. Did not do anything for me. I had to actually wash my hair after using it. It felt sticky and my hair looked very dirty. Also it is not waterproof, it comes off very easily just by touching your hair. This product is not for me.
Very well recommended product, I have been going through cancer treatment and have few bold spots at the top of my head, this color root touch up goes so natural on the scalp, no one will notice the bold spots, couldn't be happier to find this productThank you for this great help

too much whiz not enough babg!!
from CAMPBELL RIVER
did not cover grey .... made roots look 'white' tried using less (still didn't work)..hair felt harsh and looked dullPurchased 'blond' touch upreturned .
Does things naturally
This product does a good job on covering the roots in a natural fashion without making the hair look like it needs another colour application... especially if you have blonde hair.If you have thin hair it does seem to make the hair look and feel thicker but do not overapply as it can then give a dull look to the hair. A little experimenting and you will find the right amount for you. It's natural all the way and definitely worth a try.
great but will stain
from russell, ontario
I ordered this product in black and it definitely covers my grey and allows me to go longer between salon colours. But Beware!! If you do not wash it out before you go to bed it will stain your pillow covers.
