I have had Kitchen Aid appliances before and loved them, but my 13 cup food processor is a complete disappointment. After using it about a dozen times the kneading and mixing part of the processor will not work anymore. The only part that will work is the slicing and shredding discs. My other kitchen aid appliances are wonderful, but I find this very costly for an item that only partially works.

This is the 2nd small appliance I had to return . I am beginning to think they are seconds or refurbished . I won't be ordering any more or suggestion others to buy from the shopping channel.
This is a piece of JUNK

I tried using my food processor for the second time today and found that it did not start. My unfortunate luck that I haven't tried it some two weeks prior as now it is "past" the 30 days since it had been delivered and does not qualify for a refund! What a piece of junk that food processor is! I have owned Kitchen aid products in the past and never had any problems, this from what I have read from other reviews I am not the only person to have this issue. This will be my last purchase from TSC, the customer service is horrible!!
13 cup food processor

My processor is has loads of power. I can't believe how fast it works. It does take some time figuring out what pieces go with each disk, but I'm sure it will get quicker the more that I use it.The thing that wasn't so great...I have an extra charge on my credit card that I'm not sure what it is for. I purchased the food processor/w accessories as advertised, and the julienne disk. I have three charges on my credit card, and I was expecting only two. Could you please explain? Otherwise, I am satisfied with my purchase.

Still not sure
I have only had this machine for a month and as I have never had a food processor before this, I don't really have much to compare to. What I do know that I like the bowl size (even cooking for 2 the bigger size is working out) and I like the storage box that came with it. So far I have used the machine to slice, shred and knead. I would have to agree with others when they say that the food sometimes get caught between the lid and the blade. When slicing carrots, celery or potatoes I did have to stop a few times and remove the large unsliced pieces out of the way. The same was true when I was shredding cheese. When preparing pizza dough I am not sure how this happened but the dough got into some places that it really had no business being in. As another reviewer mentioned there are ridges in the spout area that really can be a pain to clean. I decided to try to combat some of the issues. Firstly, I keep a sink full of warm soapy water ready so that when I am finished I put all the pieces to soak and found that clean up was much easier. When slicing carrots, celery or shredding cheese, I make sure every this as cold as possible and then I tried out different pressures when pushing food down the feed tube and found that with the right pressure sometimes I could do the whole item and not have any big chunks left over. I know this sounds like a lot of work, and as I stated in the beginning I have nothing to compare to, but if I am to enojoy using it I feel I should take the time to learn the nuances of this machine.I would recommend this product but only with the proviso that you have reasonable expectations as to what this machine can do. It's not without its faults, but is there a machine out there that is perfect? Please let me know if there is.I will write back in a few months after I have had time to use it a little more.
Love my Kitchen Aid products
Love my Kitchen Aid and just bought yesterdays showstopper. The pieces I have are great. My only problem is the weight of the base. I have a bad back and find my husband has to lift them to the countertop/
Every kitchen needs one!

I bough this for my daughter for her birthday. I already own one. In fact it was a pervious show stopper. I love my 13 cup processor and I know my daughter will to.It saves so much time cuts my prep time in half. And clean up of the lid and bowl is no problem. It's easy to wash.I made salmon patties, put all my ingredients in the processor and in 3minutes the patties were mixed and ready to be formed and cooked. My family said they were the best ones I made.
Great kitchen helper!

I love my KitchenAid 13-cup food processor! We have been using this machine for the past 5 weeks and are loving it. We are a very busy family who chooses to make all our meals from scratch and this machine truly helps cut the meal prep in half. Also, all the individual parts are very easy to clean. I appreciate the blade/disc storage box, although I do wish it would be slightly deeper to accommodate additional discs so all could be stored safely. We use this machine 3-4 times per week, and it looks great on the counter top. I purchased the red one-LOVE THE COLOUR and matches our other red KitchenAid appliances perfectly!
Worst Product I have ever bought!
This is my second review. My first review I stated that I had purchased this as Showstopper and had finally received it weeks later. When I used it for the first time it stopped working when I was shredding mozzarella cheese. Given the fact it was Kitchenaid I decided to exchange it for a replacement.Well, my replacement came yesterday and I just tried to turn it on and it won't even do that. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Kitchenaids standards and will NEVER purchase any of their products again.

This machine is easy to assemble and use. It's quiet and fast. The 'select-a-size' option is amazing and the box to fit almost all the attachments saves hunting for them in a cupboard or drawer. I thought that a 13 cup machine would be too big for my needs but realized once I started using it that a smaller version would have been a pain because I'd have to stop and empty it far too often. The only down side was the clean-up. The groves where the lid fits the bowl, although necessary, are hard to clean and it took me a couple turns with a brush. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying.I'm so happy I bought it-it's already paid for itself and I haven't used all the attachments yet.
