I started making my own pasta approx 6 months ago with a hand crank pasta maker and decided to upgrade to the kitchenaid. Well worth the price. The sheets come out perfect and it certainly is nice to have 2 hands to work with now that I do not have to turn the crank.Very happy with this product.

I love my pasta roller set!
from St. Albert
I love this set. I've had it for several years and make pasta at least every two weeks, I've never had a problem with the cutters and the recipes in the Mixer Bible that came with them are awesome. There is nothing like fresh pasta.

I too waited forever to get this item. I was unsure I wanted to make my own pasta but family thinks the outcome is way better.I had used the roller first and let the pasta dry on towel for at least 15 minutes before using the cutting blades. It has to be put through a number of times to get thin pasta. If mine went all wonky while doing this, I rolled it back up and started again to get nice even strips to go through the spaghetti roller. And I must say that the pasta has to be very thin for the spaghetti cutter. I must not have rolled one thin enough as it did come out still a sheet with lines on one of my strips of dough and it seemed to be bunching up going into the roller. Although it wasn't thin enough, it didn't stick in the cutter thank goodness. But when I did roll it thin enough first and dry it just a bit with a dusting of flour on each side, it came out perfectly and seperated just like it is supposed to.
This is THE best invention EVER!

I waited forever to purchase this item. I was just unsure how often I would use it. It's so easy to use that I make fresh pasta about once a week! It's really a breeze and the recipes in the Booklet are great. I've experiment with others I've found online and added some spices here and there.. Yum! Next I'll try the spinach pasta.I enjoy using this product so much that I am now going to purchase the pasta press. To the above reviewer... In order for this to work you must have the heavy duty motor. The smaller motors just won't cut it... Pun intended:)I would encourage you to not give up if you have adequate power... Hang in there and follow the recipe in the books and there really shouldn't be a problem... Make sure you have the roller and/or the cutters facing the right direction! This will make all the difference in the world:)
This cutter does not cut the noodles
Hubby finally decided to use the noodle cutting tools today and neither one slices the dough. Can not see what we could be doing wrong! Do you have to dry dry dry dough to get anything to cut? Ended up hand cutting all the noodles as neither one would cut the dough....some little cuts but never all across the dough consistently.Too late for a replacement... as warranty has passed before using that specific attachment ..WE had purchased all at initial purchase. Would love to hear from either the SHOPPING CHANNEL or Kitchen aid of a fix for this! VERY DISGRUNTLED!! We use the mixer mostly for making butter .. glass bowl & dough hook.
