Kobo almost a Nogo
By Happy shopper
from London ON
Getting this ereader set up was a huge challenge. The instructions that come with it are useless. Thank goodness my husband was prepared to stick with it using instructions we found online. The free books selection is very limited and we are now getting constant emails from Kobo to buy books. The ereader itself is very good. So far no problems using it. Once again, I kept rerunning the TSC program I taped to see how to use it as there are no paper instructions with the item.Kobo should include more information with this package. Perhaps the TSC could encourage this the next time they feature an ereader.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Take Back to Drawing Board

This is my first 1 star rating, so you know I am really really not happy with this purchase! There are too many "issues" to list. A few are: the set up appears easy BUT my KOBO was very temperamental - I kept having to re-start it; the sync with the ereader and the desktop is bad (did not download my "free" books to the ereader automatically; the touch application was also VERY touchy in that at times no matter how much pressure I applied the screen would not change, the pages did not turn easily. To add to this frustration, KOBO customer service (techs) were the worse I have ever encountered. I ended up having to figure some of it out myself (which by the way was entirely the opposite to what the tech had told me!). No detailed instructions were provided. If the latter explains the price difference, this was not a good idea. Save your money for a tablet with an reader function where you can get books from anywhere you want!!!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
