Can opener works great once you get it lined up, and the jar opener has come in very handy!

As one gets older jars become harder to open and I have a few different ones such as the ones with large rubber strips that you wrap around the lid and struggle with, the electric one that you put around the neck and they would break because the plastic used was cheap and this is the best jar opener I have used.....no more tapping the lid with a knife before twisting....my one suggestion make it so it fits larger jars.

Easy to use, safe and practical. After you open the can, you can keep the lead and put it back on the can for the next use . Something you can never do with the other types. makes a great gift idea.

Sure can't beat the price for a set of two. Easy to use after a little practice but very glad I ordered them. Even if you don't need two it would make a great gift for someone else's kitchen or parents sending a child off to school, etc etc.

The can opener states it only works on certain types of cans, and I had not a single can in the pantry with the three ridges.

I was not able to get a single can open.

First, you are getting 2 sets. Second, these are first class products. So even if you don't need one now, pick it up for reserve. I bought extras for a hostess gift, bridal shower and house warming.

Despite already having a can opener that opened without leaving sharp edges, I wanted to try this Kuhn Rikon opener. The one I had (sold at home parties) was difficult to line up and once you made your way around the can, it was usually very difficult to lift the lid from the can. I thought I'd give Kuhn Rikon a try as I have other great items from their line. When the can opener arrived, I found that it was definitely easier to use than my other opener. I was really happy about this as I was not prepared to go back to using old-fashioned openers that left sharp edges. My children are learning to cook and I don't want them cutting their hands. This is so simple that both my young children are able to use it.
I don't use the jar opener as often, but it has been useful when opening sealed mason jars that are hard to open.

I was ready to return this set when I encountered a tricky Balsamic Vinegar bottle that was expensive.
I was ready to throw the bottle out due to the difficulty in opening it.
I tried the Kuhn opener and was astonished at the ease that the top opened.
I have yet to open cans but according to other reviewers that is easy as well.
Sale price and effective. How much better can it get?
