Overpriced - looks cheap!
Normally, I love LUG. I have a few pieces and find them to be well designed, stylish and durable, So, when I saw the Shortstop, I thought it would be a versatile and useful addition to my collection. I hesitated at the price and the outrageous shipping charge but decided to order it anyways given the high standards Lug has shown in the past.I ordered the navy with the green trim. Overall, the product appears to be as well made as their other items. However, there were three things that stood out to me:1) The green trim on one of the front pockets is done in the soft fabric normally used for inner pockets meant to store tablets and other more delicate items rather than the regular liner fabric. This may not seem like an issue, but the fabric is a slightly different shade of green than the rest of the exterior trim. I find that colour difference to be very distracting for the bag and feel that it definitely cheapens the look. The same method seems to have been used on all colours of this bag. (Note: If you use the zoom feature on the page, you can see the difference. The soft liner material is used on the front lower left pocket - the one with the little tab on it.)2) The buckle that is used to convert the cross-body strap to a waist strap is a semi clear plastic that looks cumbersome and feels cheap. (I own a couple of other waist bags that have far more sturdy and stylish buckles!) Frankly, the bag itself is too big and cumbersome to be worn around the waist.3) This bag is from the Lug ORANGE label. Which branch of Lug doesn't matter to me, but the fact that they've added an ORANGE zip pull to the outside of the bag (regardless of the bag colour choice) just looks TACKY! The orange label is on the inside of the bag as well - which is where it belongs. At least they didn't add the orange colour to the signature bag label in the front bottom corner! Needless to say this bag went back - and I WON'T be ordering anymore of the ORANGE label products!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
