Ensemble 2 pièces Mr. Max en jersey bouclette orné de pierres du Rhin

I purchased this outfit in a 3X(blue) for my sister
for Christmas. I hesitated to order because of it's low rating. However my sister looked stunning in this two piece. She is quite tall and the pants were perfect for her. If anything, I must state because of her height and bust, the top could have been slightly longer. The color of blue and the rhinestones are a great combination. I am pleased that I ordered it. You just never know!

For the price, one would expect at least the initial cutting and sewing would have the pant seams fall straight and upper arm-to-shoulder seams be aligned and lie flat. However, in all my many, many years of buying and/or sewing my own clothes, never have I seen such shoddy workmanship even on the cheapest of garments. All the previous unfavourable comments were indeed accurate with regards to fit and especially the length of the pants. Lately I sometimes buy XL instead of L(because I know my own faults and present-day manufacturers seem to cut on the slim side), but the "Large" size pants on me are way too wide in the hip, the pockets won't lie flat and the seams were so wavy the legs won't fall straight. One would have to be at least 5'11" to have them anywhere the right length. I thought if I returned the first set and got another I might have better luck, but they were even worse, so.....no more Mr. Max garments for me. It should have looked wonderful because the colour and jacket are just right for Christmas lounging - or perhaps will be when I've dismantled the pants and hopefully re-sewn them so they're wearable. However, perhaps I'll wash them first as I see one lady has said they shrink terribly! What to do? I just don't know. Fingers crossed.

I also have a problem with the pants. The top fits perfectly but the bottom is way too big, baggy & too long. I am lucky that I have a friend who is a seamstress, who will alter the pants. But she commented on how these pants were made and she would have to dismantle all of them to put them correctly. I love Mr Max but the sizing is way off by a mile. Need more quality supervision on the garments before they come to TSC.

As others have said, the pants are too large, and very ill fitting. The pockets don't lay smooth, and the waist band is extremely large. I ordered an X-Small, and the pants don't stay up on me. I've ordered Mr. Max before, and expected the same great quality and style. I really wanted to like these, but due to the poor fit, I have no choice but to send my order back.

First let me say that I bought 2, black and champagne, both size medium. The jacket fits great. I put the pants on and they were so long they drooped on the floor. I took them to my seamstress and we measured the inseam..32 1/5"!!!! No wonder!! Mr Max also needs to include petite sizes. I will just pay my seamstress to shorten them.

I had the same issue as Lene - the pants fit too big and the jacket was just right. I did love the comfort of the outfit, so I kept it, wore it, and washed it - in cold water according to the label. I hung the jacket to dry as I wanted to avoided shrinkage, but put the pants in the dryer on the delicate dry cycle. I just put the outfit on and the sleeves of the jacket are a 1/2 inch too short. The pants shrunk even more and unevenly. The pants are now hip hugger floods with the left leg being an whole inch shorter than the right.

I usually wear a large so when I saw the models on tv. I noticed that they seemed to fit large, so I ordered a medium. They arrived today and the jacket fits great which I wish I could keep but the pants are horrible. The pants were too big and I actually think I could have worn a small. The pants legs have no shape to them what so ever and sewing is so poor that seams do not lye flat which causes bulges down through the hip and thigh. Extremely dissappointed.

I bought the suit in XL for my mom. She absolutely loved it, BUT couldn't keep it as the size is messed up. The jacket fits perfectly, but the pants are at least two sizes bigger than XL. My mom would have kept it if the pants could be exchanged for the proper size.

bought this outfit as my 2nd Mr Max 2-pc terry, but the fit was very different, I wear a 2X, so that is what I ordered- jacket fit nicely, fabric lovely & soft- but no pockets, pants are huge!! I usually need extra fit in pants but these were unwearable they were so large. I would not call this french terry, not like past sets, lighter weight softer fabric, not as warm as expected.

I bought 3 outfits, for all the ladies in the family. And unfortunately had to return the 3x. We all found that the jackets were perfect ( hopefully they won't shrink when washed), but the pants are way too bad. A size 3x pant fits more like a 4x, if it had no pockets I would definetly alter them. I love the rhinestone embellishment on the jacket though.
