VERY UNIQUE, PRETTY & DURABLE!
By Saucy Minx

I have been a fan of Polish Pottery for many years and, recently, a collector as well. Therefore, I was very happy to see that TSC was offering this gorgeous stoneware. The word "unikat" actually means "rarity" in Polish and, as each piece is handcrafted and signed by an experienced Polish artisan, these pieces are truly unique works of art. The colours are bold and beautiful, the actual bowls very well made and durable. And very "user-friendly" as they can be filled with so much more than ice-cream! Also, these two bowls are very close in appearance yet not matchy-matchy for a beautifully eclectic look when placed together.Polish Pottery comes in literally hundreds of different styles and patterns and in countless different colours so it's a collector's dream. The only caveat for buyers: The TSC prices (especially with shipping & handling added on!) are comparable to what you would pay in boutiques but, generally speaking, higher than what you would pay at other on-line retailers. The on-line Polish Pottery retailer I like best has generally lower item prices than TSC, pretty much identical shipping/handling costs, constant sales, a huge selection, and a 90-day no-questions-asked return policy. So if you don't have any boutiques in your area that sell Polish Pottery where you can see the pieces "live" and take advantage of sales, whether you choose to buy from TSC or other on-line retailers pretty much comes down to what's more important to you: The greater selection, more generous return policy and often lower prices offered by other on-line retailers or TSC's Easy Pays and their special-offer discounts which do make TSC's prices very competitive. Either way, Polish Pottery is very beautiful, well-made & durable and I very much hope that Halina returns to TSC with more pieces on a regular basis - and that TSC manages to keep its prices competitive!
