Carol Brodie Exotic Spinel Inside Out Hoop Earrings

I purchased these earrings as the show stopper and ordered the purple. I was delighted when I received them as they were intended as a gift for my mother. They were light, they were sparkly and had a clasp she would be able to manage. On Christmas morning she immediately put them on. However, the stones started falling out and I had to have them repaired. Apparently the stones are glued in place and losing them would likely continue, as the other reviews have verified. Yesterday I chatted with customer service and was told they could not be returned as it was past the extended return period. I would willingly accept that but they appear to be defective. I was then offered a $20 credit to be applied to my next purchase. I declined. I asked for the name of the customer service manager and this information was not provided.

Although these earrings are rather pretty, I found them rather dark and with dark hair, you would barely notice I was wearing them. And after all, we wear earrings to be seen. I had ordered the purple ones.

Like other shoppers, I ordered Blue. Although the exterior box says Blue, the earrings are purple. I couldn't stand the excitement I felt when the package arrived, just like a kid in a candy shop. Imagine how let down I was when my order went from a deep, rich, dark shade of Blue to a washed out, hard to see.....not sure if it is......PURPLE!!! Customer Service?? Not!! I even tried sending a message to Carol. Because they sold out, there's nothing they can do unless I want to return them & be left with nothing. Where is quality control. Doesn't anyone look inside these boxes before shipping.

Reading the other review, the pink colour I received was nice but the missing stones make these earrings look so cheap and they were not cheap! In fact they were very overpriced for the quality of the workmanship. I didn't like the closures either. Listening to Carol Brodie rave about these - I will not trust her again. I did order the pink spinel pendent and it was very nice. Kept both pieces but will not order from her again.

Like others, the missing stones are a disappointment. However, I had these appraised and the replacement value was three times the SS price. The quality of the stones is not exceptional though.

I have already reviewed these earrings and was still deciding if I would keep them. I was disappointed when I saw them. They simply do not sit right on the earlobes. Added is the missing stones and 2 empty settings along the inside and outside of the hoops. Not an earring I would be proud to wear or keep. Back these go and now I am out the S&H.

After taking them out to try them on I've noticed one of the safety clasps just too hard to open and close. Such a great idea though, especially considering the price. I still love the look of them and unlike some other people who have commented my stones seem to match. I did order blue and received the purple ones instead which is disappointing and I also noticed the lack of stones at the top and bottom of my earrings as well. This is definitely a cutting cost thing because the setting was left in. It's an unfinished look that at that price doesn't cut it.

The stones are matched perfectly and the glow is mesmerizing.

I was really looking forward to these as an investment. I received these in the wrong color! Ordered purple, and got pink. Even the box was marked purple. Do not like and frankly I find them too big for my face. I will be returning these!

I couldn't wait to open the package when it arrived, spinel are such beautiful stones, before I even took the earrings out of the box I saw the gap where a stone was missing. I found the stone loose in a corner of box. I did debate on having stone reset as the earrings were a perfect size and colors pink lovely, however on further inspection one of earrings was well made but the other not only had the missing stone but also mismatched colors and stones not set in line.
As another reviewer wrote where is the quality control! I find this company hit and miss more miss. The pieces are not in expensive and it is annoying having to return brand new items due to shoddy work especially when the pieces are made by so called "master jewelers" I appreciate that there can be a piece not up to par but that is where quality control steps in.This collection needs to live up to it's name consistently.
