Purchased two of these necklaces a while ago and should have commented on the beauty and wear of this necklace immediately. Just LOVE this necklace, wear it often and I am thrilled how large this is. It is not as heavy as I thought it would be and wears very nicely on my neck. The Labradorite is like liquid silver and the Smokey Quartzs is like a golden sunshine. The clasp is a fair size but I think it should have been a little larger. There is a lot of style in this necklace and is extraordinary considering the cost of it. Definitely affordable luxury at its best! Thank you Carol Brodie!

Good Style - Low Quality Labradorite
from DEEP RIVER
Purchased in labradorite. Stones were 80% low quality (cracks, scraps, chips) with a nice clear coating to smooth out the damage and bring out the shine (mostly grey). Because I like the style and this gemstone, I ordered 2 more to see if I could get a better quality piece. If you like a more primitive look to your pieces you might like this one. With the discount the price was reasonable for labradorite. All the pieces I received were of similar quality so I knew I wouldn't wear without either nicer stones or more colour variation, I sent them back.

Carol Brodie gemstone necklace
I bought the labradorite necklace and am absolutely pleased with the quality and look of this piece of jewellery. The stones have a beautiful soft, satin, luminous gray look that will be suitable for any colour of ones wardrobe. The feel is so smooth and sensuous. What a classy yet subtle look. Can you tell I truly enjoy this stone?
I purchased the labradorite and am very pleased with the look. It's so flattering to the complexion and just lights up the face. & it looks good with any colour clothing. The downside is the clasp: it's difficult to fasten and therefore the strands don't always lie smooth which is the way it looks best. And the clasp is very cheap and definitely not up to standard for such an expensive item. Another reviewer mentioned cracked stones.... Yikes! Since I love it I'm going to try to avoid looking too closely, and keep my fingers crossed. After admiring it for months I couldn't resist snapping it up as soon as it went on sale. I gave it only 4 stars because of the clasp issues.
Interesting necklace in labradorite
By Ginger Peaches

I purchased the necklace in labradorite when the piece went on sale. I am a big fan of this gem. The 5 strands including the silver beads has a nice appearance and fills the neckline with interest. But .... I am disappointed in the labby beads. They are just grey with very little flashes of the amazing blue hue, for which they are famous. The beads are shiny and I presume they have been coated with a substance to 'up' their ordinary grey colour. I kept the piece but it won't my one of my favs.
So beautiful, so useful...
I just received the labradorite version of this necklace, and couldn't be more pleased. It is a wonderful design: polished, irregular labradorite beads and brushed irregular silver for a style that is contemporary (and a little primitive) and that will go most anywhere with most anything. It was priced for clearance, but even so, to be honest, I can't think why I ordered it, because the picture in the online catalogue is not too promising. But it was a lucky purchase, and I think it is absolutely lovely!
Lovely look, questionable quality.
This is a very pretty piece, but many of the labradorite beads are cracked and, although the nuggets are genuine silver, some parts appear to be base metal (magnet test), including the clasp, which is marked "925". A definite "rarity" at a good price, so it's a keeper and recommended for those who don't mind the imperfections.

One of my first pieces from Carol Brodie and it is absolutely beautiful. It was a good value at the regular price but the clearance price is a steal. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. Won't last at this price. STUNNING...

I couldn't decide which one to buy, so purchased them both. As Carol stated, each has its own personality, one bringing out 'warm' and the other, the 'cool' look effect. They are both absolutely the most functional pieces of jewellery in my wardrobe, i.e., no need for layering, it's done for you. Light in weight, beautifully crafted, easy closure, together with a subtle, dramatic look easily worn for casual or evening wear. Would love nugget earrings (for pierced ears) to match the nuggets (one set in silver, one in gold), and a bracelet exactly as the necklace. What a suite that would be! All of Carol's rarities that I have purchased are top favorites in my jewellery collection.
