Read Descriptions Too!
My sister has this ring and I have to say it is quite nice. Yes, I agree about reading reviews, but ladies, please read descriptions as well. The stone is a "TUMBLED" aquamarine, which means it is not going to be a high polished stone, it is put through a process where it rolls around in a machine that gives it that particular finish, meaning the stone will have a cloudiness to it. You can actually even see that clearly in the photo.Even though I do not have the ring, I did see it and think it is quite lovely actually IF that is the look you are going for.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This ring wasn't nearly as appealing in person. The ring sits on a very thin band and doesn't sit well on the hand. I'm not sure why they plated the thin band with yellow gold. The thin yellow band doesn't look like it belongs to such a dark and heavy top. Like the other reviews, my ring also had this powdery look to it. Also the large claws holding the stone were very rough and easily caught on things. It only took a split second to make the decision to return this. Even the return has become problematic taking a long time to process. The review from "Ginger Peaches" was spot on - pay attention to the reviews.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Was looking forward to what I thought would be a lovely aquamarine but so agree that it appeared coated/inferior......the ring lacked appeal. Am returning it as well.

Not on my favourite list

I was most disappointed with this ring and should have paid attention to comments for other Carol Brodie products. The finesse is simply not in evidence. The aquamarine was coated in some sort of powder and the blackened silver and workmanship made the ring look like something you would find in a dime store bargain rack. I'm surprised TSC is selling such a poor product. Needless to say, the item has been returned and I will never purchase another Carol Brodie product. Ladies, pay attention to viewer comments.
