The Carnelian stone was a dusty reddish-orange; not vibrant at all. The black spinels are dull also. They sparkled in the sunlight, but not in ordinary light. I was hoping for a dramatic colour contrast, but am disappointed in this ring. It was true to size but needs a full undergallery. It is too plain and dull. More silver showing between the black spinel would help. Reluctantly returned; getting tired of paying return fees.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Love this ring
Beautiful ring! It is also very comfortable on the finger. Love, love it. I wish she would bring matching earrings.

Pretty ring but made rather on the large
Loved the look of the ring however the size 7 fit like an 8 and was spinning around so I sent it back sadly

A Stunning Vintage Look
This is truly a well done piece. The black spinels are exquisite in their settings, and gives a surprising array of sparkle. The ring (I purchased size 6 for the right-hand finger), in its shaping, fits comfortably on the finger and has a good band width for stability. The color of the large carnelian, as the focal point, has a quiet dramatic contrast to the black canvas of the spinels. Overall, one would never guess the cost of this ring, as it looks to be a very expensive vintage heirloom piece, in my opinion. Obviously, I am thrilled with this purchase!
