Versatile Set!

The value is excellent for this Roots set. The large tote is perfect to fit almost anything - magazines,umbrella,water bottle, shoes, etc. The crossbody is a perfect size - not too large, not too small. This set is also ideal when the weather is lousy - I have quite a few high-quality leather bags and I wouldn't want to use them when it is a windy, rainy day...

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

could be better if ...

First - the positive - it is very lightweight, which is what I wanted as I have tendonitis and now use cross-body bags vs a shoulder bag and the cross-body bag has several outer zipped sections. The tote will be useful as an extra bag when travelling and the outer pocket on either side of the tote goes ALL the way to length of bag - a very good feature.

The only feature that could be improved upon is the outer zipped pocket on the cross-body bag - just above the ROOTS tag - it does not go all the way to length/height of bag - but only is about 5" deep. It would be more useful if it was full length as there is room for it to be designed full length - thus the lower rating.
